We loved our stay in Bernkastel at Rieslinghaus!  We all agreed that the location and hotel were the best on our trip through the Moselle Valley.  The rooms were impeccably clean, the beds were very comfortable and the view of the square sublime!  We are hoping to bring our children back here in December, we enjoyed it so much.  There is a great selection of fantastic restaurants and shops, all within easy walking distance and the service we received everywhere was outstanding.  Loved it!

A stunning location and excellent accommodation

We stayed here for one night and felt really happy with the hotel. We arrived in the middle of the afternoon and were greeted in a very friendly way. We filled out the papers and then quickly got the keys to our rooms. We had rooms on the top floor (3rd floor). There is no elevator so be prepared to walk the stairs. But this was no problem. We hot room 8 and 9. Both had plenty of space and room 9 had a very large bathroom. The nice thing about room 9 was that it had windows on both sides (one in the bedroom and one on the bathroom). Since we had almost record high temperatures (around 37C!!) it was very useful to be able to open both windows and get a bit of wind through the room. 
We were informed about a 5 euro ticket for the parking that allows you to park basically anywhere in town for three days. That is a super deal. 
At the check in you also get a kind of tourist pass that gives you all kind of benefits around town.
Right around the hotel you have nice old narrow streets with restaurants. 
When you have a chance also try some of the regional wines. The hotel also includes a wine shop where they can give you advice on some of the best regional wines.
The room and bathroom were really neat and very clean. 
The internet connection wasn't great and could be improved a bit.
But overall a very nice place for a visit to Bernkastel-Kues. 

Nice and very friendly hotel right in the old town

Came to the Rieslinghaus for a bottle of wine and ended up staying the night at the B&B. Amenities were simple, the room was clean with a nice balcony overlooking the square. Breakfast was cold meat, cheese, bread, yogurt and coffee. You are given the keys to the wineshop (closed and shuttered in the evening) and a key to your room where you can ask for wine to be left. The staff were very welcoming and spoke perfect English (one of the staff is even native English) The wines here are great.
