I've never slept so badly for so much money. TV and Wi-Fi didn't work. Shame it could be a good hotel with just a little effort.

It's too expensive.

One should begin with the positive...location. in the heart of the town. That's it. Nothing else positive. Rooms are very basic, shower is unprofessionally redone, breakfast is very basic, internet only works sometimes, in the night loud guests arrived, no accessable power plugs in room...i could go on. definitively stay clear of this hotel, don't let the name and location fool you, like it did us!

Substandard hotel in the center of town

The hotel is a very bad place to break down. There are building defects in renovation work wherever you see it. Electricity is really dangerous, sparkles from the light switch followed by cracks! Light did not come on. This has never been seen by a professional. The bottom of the bed is just laid and falls off as soon as you get there. In the bathroom, the tiles fall off the walls. The floor is so dirty and rotten. Everything is dirty and rotten. Shower and cold doesn't go off, you're in the dirt of the previous ones. We haven't run there, we've had enough breakfast. The one that came down completely and is treated with blocks, by the way, doesn't end up in the evening as the yard wheels promised. Teak is not safe there.

Broken floor with disgusting factor

room OK; shower OK; breakfast OK; the check-inn procedure somewhat dodgy; price was higher than on booking.com;  no proper receipt given; had to pay in advance and in cash rather than credit card; this was February, and we were the only guests; maybe in the summer things are different;

good location in the heart of old town

Never worse overnight. Please go to another hotel. Every hostel is better!!! No one speaks German or English. The toilet is one floor lower for all guests. 30 programs, but only 2 channels(ARD and ZDF) Krass!! Never had a worse hotel

Disaster

We were in the hotel with 8 people (3 double and 2 single rooms). For the price you paid (75.90 per night), at least the cleanliness and the room should have been the same. Unfortunately, there was no light in my room. And in the bathroom there was no curtain so that people in the houses opposite me could watch while showering and going to the toilet. The equipment itself is the same as it was in the 70s. In the bathroom, the silicone fuse was folded, something you couldn't even dare to pack. In the other rooms, the mold was the same. And the shower head partly didn't work. It was allowed in the hotel. Teapots were stuck in my room for me. What I would see was that it was over-flowing. At least, it was over-flowing from early renovations.

Price performance not justified

Very nice Hotel with great location. Pleasant straff, very polite (no problem  - attitude).  Very nice room, good breakfast.  Great value.  To get top rating - check light bulbs, improve wifi and access with car (difficult).

Value>Price

Given its a stones throw from the epicentre of the Old Town you can't fault the location of this hotel. The rooms were of a decent size but poorly styled. The bathrooms were functional but very dated . Breakfast was simple but decent value for money. The wifi was non-existent. To top it off there was the ever present aroma of Indian food and flavours from the restaurant in the lobby.

Can't fault the location

Fantastic location near the center of town but that is the ONLY good thing about it.    No hair dryer.   No heat.   Rock hard beds.  No amenities.  Not a good experience.   Barest of towels.    A little effort and it could be so much better.  

Do not stay here

There were four of us there, and we had two double rooms. Our room was fine, only very, very cold at night, minimum temperatures, and the heating was off at ten o'clock. The bathroom was inhumanly cold. The other room was antique, which is normally not a problem for a night's sleep. But in the bathroom it smelled like urine and the toilet was extremely dirty from a closer look. The lady in charge of cleaning was still on the floor, and we asked if we could get disinfectant and cleaning agents to clean ourselves, but she wanted to do it herself.
