Hotel to be appreciated for the simplicity and at the same time for the efficiency of the service. I stayed at Jacobs for 2 nights, from 12 to 14 December 2017 and it was the first time, booking the room through booking.com. Basically, the location offers accommodation like apartment but with single room use or as needed or whole apartment, and in any case breakfast included at absolutely fair prices in proportion to the services offered. The hotel is not far from the city center and in any case can be reached by public transport in a few minutes. I suggest Jacobs both for business trips and for tourism with family.

CUTE, QUAINT AND ESSENTIAL

Nice place, good location, parking facility. Rich breakfest with lot of fruits, good eggs and daily changing cheese and salami. Tram station and supermarket round the corner. About ten minutes to reach the city center. Rustic Atmosphere - style and comfortable bed.

Good value for price

The hotel is located about a 20 minute walk from the UN University campus. There is a tram stop about a minute away that will take you to the centre of town for 2 euros. Nearby are a number of restaurants, cafes and a large supermarket. The hotel itself is a number of buildings all about a minute or two walk from reception. To get into your building you need to punch in the code. There are actual keys to your room, something I haven't received in years since keycards tend to be ubiquitous. A good breakfast buffet is included featuring a variety of breads, cheeses, fruit and yoghurt as well as eggs and sausages. Coffee as well which makes for a typical German style breakfast. My room had two single rooms pushed together and a nice balcony (with table and chairs) overlooking a pretty garden. This is perfect for sitting out and reading in the morning if one wishes. The room itself is kept clean and is sufficiently roomy to be comfortable. The bathroom and shower are on the compact side. If you are looking for a modern, standard hotel this is not it. But you do get comfort, quiet at a reasonable price.

Basic but comfortable hotel

It was not as modern as the other hotels we stayed in while in Germany, but it was clean and the staff was friendly. It was odd that that shower was in a separate alcove of the room without a door and opposite from the restroom. The double sink and mirror were in the room so if you have someone getting up earlier to get ready they are going to disturb anyone trying to sleep. 
The elevator is odd and tiny. The included breakfast was ok.

Not As Modern, But Cute

Stayed for a couple of days and I've been enjoyed the whole atmosphere. Very nice location, country style and the whole family is very nice ( grandma Jacobs especially :) ). Free parking, good connection with public transport.
