Having stayed here as part of a group i have to say how bad this hotel was.

The heating in my room didn't work. The first night I had to get dressed to sleep in bed. It was so cold. The second evening i asked for extra blankets. Only to be told, I should have asked in the morning and I couldn't have one. Finally the next day i got one.

The towels were threadbare and incredibly worn out. I had to ask for shampoo too, as they hadn't been replaced.

The room was very bady worn and outdated.

Breakfast was very poor and the choice was meager to say the least.

All in all, I'd AVOID this place at all costs.

Horrendous 

My elderly mother and I stayed at the hotel in August for a short break.
The hotel is very clean but I would say more on the budget side but excellent value for money. This would be ideal for a short stay. 
Pro's
Excellent friendly staff who speak good English, Simone was very helpful and responded to all queries very quickly including providing clear instructions how to find the hotel from the train station.
The hotel is in a perfect location right in the center of the square and 1 minute walk to the walkway along the Reine. All shops and restaurants are within 1 minute walk and the train station was 7 minute walk but took longer as my mother is elderly.
Breakfast was average but was suitable for our needs, but the service was amazing.
The bed was comfortable with adequate bedding and the bathroom was very clean.
Con's
The hotel is literally next door to the large church in the center of the square which is a historic building. Unfortunately the church bells chime once every quarter and then do the full set of bells depending on the time all through the night. It is very loud, hence why the hotel provide ear plugs. If I am honest it only really affected me on the first night, after that once you were sleeping it was fine but it depends if you are a very light sleeper.
In general we would definately return to this hotel and found our stay to be enjoyable.

BASIC BUT CLEAN AND AMAZING LOCATION

I stayed in this hotel in the final 2 nights of a school languages trip to France and Germany. Hotel Hubertus is a small, friendly, family run hotel. The staff were very hospitable considering a school group of excited teenagers had arrived to fill every room in their hotel! Every room was different and slept between 2 and 4 people. Our room was number 1 and was located just off the corridor of the rest of the 1st floor rooms. It had one double bed and bunk beds which were all very comfortable. The bathroom had a wide headed shower which worked well, even when everyone else in the hotel was using theirs! We were provided with towels and soap to use. 
The food was a set menu which suited all of our group and they made an effort to go out of their way for anyone with allergies or dietary requirements. Breakfast was a continental buffet and consisted of a selection of cereals, breads with a variety of spreads and cold meats and cheeses. 
The hotel was located in the town centre and very near cafes, bars and a supermarket. It was about a 20 minute walk to the chair lift which anyone staying should definitely go on. 
Overall, this hotel is basic but in a very nice, quiet location with good rooms and food.  

Basic but beautiful location

My boyfriend and I had a week to travel from Berlin to Bad Tölz in Bavaria, and we made a short stop in Boppard. We arrived by train quite late, so it was a blessing to have to walk for only five minutes to get to Hotel Hubertus. The hotel manager kindly helped us to our room on the 3rd floor, and answered all our questions regardless of the late hour. 
The room was actually in the attic, which was quite romantic:-) 
Hotel's great location allowed us to explore the town on foot and make it to the pier (only couple of minutes from the hotel) for our next steamer.

Great recess location if you're on a blitz tour:-)

My partner and I stayed here one night for the Rhine in flames fireworks at St. Goar. Our host was great (spoke good english), the room was clean, comfortable and the breakast the following morning was very tasty. Great hotel, would definitely stay there again.

Remember, you are in one of the lovelies places in the River Rhine- Area.
And this "Hotel" is really cheap!!!
For that money okay, but don't wonder about room and bath....
The breakfast is very easy, normal standard.
You get Muesli, cooked eggs, Yoghurt, different breads.
My meaning is : terrible
The Youthhostel is much better....
