If you're staying in Boppard, I highly recommend this place. It felt like staying at my grandparents' house. The couple running it is very nice, and they provide a good breakfast, with plenty of food. The room was a good size, and comfortable. It's located in a quiet area, about 15 minutes walk from the train station, and right near a nice walkway along the Rhine. This was my first introduction to Germany, and it was a very welcome one.

Comfortable stay

The Pension Haus is in a lovely quiet area, a minute away from the river which is a lovely walk into the town or you can go straight up to the road and be in the centre in 10 mins at a strolling pace. Monica and Peter are so very welcoming and only too happy to help. The breakfast was set out lovely, we do not particularly like German breakfasts but this is their country and culture so we obviously accepted it and ate as much as we could without leaving too much.  The house might be old but the bedding was crisp and clean and the bathroom was spotless. If I was to visit Boppard again I would stay with Peter and Monica.  It was Good Friday when we left and Monica presented us with a gift of small Easter Eggs.  The house as many other German houses and shops was decorated for Easter and added to the character of the house.

Accommodation in an old, beautiful house, where we got a newly, in old style, refurbished room with good beds. Quiet situated in the town, but we could hear the trains passing by. Breakfast was alright. The old owners were very friendly and we got vouchers to the museums and local public communications. Small parking space.

Very old fashioned

Hotel is very well situated to the town, just a ten minute stroll along the river promenade. 
The building is probably ready for an upgrade but is very quaint indeed and shows a lot of history inside and out.
Our room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was laid out beautifully and the choice is quite staggering as is the presentation.  
Monica puts a great deal of effort to make you feel welcome and it was a pleasure to meet her.

Food For Thought

It's cozy and very clean house well maintained by Mr & Mrs Weller. 
It's ca.7-8 minutes from the center, but you can enjoy tranquil Rhein promenade near of the house. It's really nice to walk and look the cruise ships coming and going on the river. Especially beautiful at sunset. 
Breakfast was really nice, and beautifully set on each table. There were several types of bread, mamalade, and hams etc, so it was an enjoyable meal. 
Und es war froh, dass ich mit Frau Weller ueber die Geschiche vom Haus und die ehemalige Goethe-Institut auf Deutsch unterhalten konnte.:)

Short, but very nice stay

If you want top end, modern facilities in a modern room then go to a modern hotel and pay modern prices. If you want a spacious, quiet room in a traditional, old fashion Gast Haus then this is the place for you. It's not modern, it's not new, there is no spa or bar but the is buckets and buckets of old fashioned charm.
Yes the furniture is old but the beds are still comfy and large and it is all in-keeping with the general feel of the place. The bathrooms are dated but very clean and functional.
It's stretching it a bit to say it has views of the Rhine, we could just glimpse it from out window but it is less than a 30 second stroll away. Parking is very limited but there is a car park across the street; I don't know if there's a fee for parking or if there's some agreement for guests. Both of the owners were friendly and helpful and positively charming and chatty.
Oh, and in case no one else has mentioned it...the breakfast is incredible.
I mean really incredible; fruit, yogurt, boiled eggs, cereal, 4 different types of bread roll, several types of cold meat, 3 or 4 types of cheese, enough coffee to flood the Rhine, orange juice, strawberries.....they say breakfast is the most important meal and Haus Weller makes sure to set you up for the day.
