Since a year this hotel is taken over by a family. They do their utmost to make you feel comfortable. After I  have read the not so good comments I was really curious. I asked for a room with a view on the Rhine, for € 15.00 extra per night, this was so worth it! At night it was quiet and dark, so slept very well. The beds were good, bathroom renovated and for the price we paid I don't expect a 5 star hotel. The booking was inclusive breakfast, lunch and dinner with one drink for free with every meal. It was all good! So if you are looking for a good hotel and not to expensive, I really can advise to book this hotel. They even have a shuttle service for pick-up from the station.

Fine hotel, beautiful view on the Rhine, excellent crew!

i stayed here on a school trip and we had a tiny dated room. the wifi doesnt work. we found bugs hair and socks in our bed. food is disgusting. poor servce and those running the hotel clearly dont like children. constantly hear trains at night. uncomfortable beds and too many people crammed into one room.

I went here on a school trip in October, having read the reviews before hand. When I arrived, I went up into the room and the first thing I noticed was it was very small. There were 5 beds in total in what should have been a room with just a double bed. When I looked closer at the bed, I did notice that a lot of the slats were missing. The bathroom was okay I guess, not the best but catered for our needs. When I went to bed, I noticed it began to get very hot, so opened the window, but there was a train track next door and a train came past every 5 minutes so I had to close it. The food was not the best either. We had the same breakfast every day, a choice of 2 cereals or toast. I cannot eat dairy, and the did not get me anything to replace dairy milk, even though the staff had been notified before the trip. Because of this, I had to have cereal with no milk as all of the toast had gone. As well as that, for lunch, all we got were brown bananans, a tiny pack of sweets and toast. Overall, I have to say that if I go to Germany again, I will not stay at this hotel.

School trip vist

This must be one of the worst hotels in Europe , The staff were rude ,unhelpful  dismissive.and hostile.The food was inedible , portions child size ,soup disgusting, main course ? dessert a joke , green jelly in a shot glass.(with no booze!!). No lounge , no bar ,  I  couldn't think of one nice thing to say about this place.

Disgusted

Staff wer not the worst. Food was horrid. Lunch only consisted of a horrid sandwitch and small chocolate bar. No one ate the apples as they were soggy and moldy. Beautiful view. Train kept you up all night. We did not have a problem with insects. My friend paid for wifi and IT DIDN'T WORK! Bathroom was ok. The bunck bed made a terrible squecky noise

Dont reccomend it

Fantastic value, friendly helpful staff, and wonderful views over the Rhine. If you can.... try to get a room overlooking the river as the side and front rooms are extremely noisy from the road and rail traffic which is incessant and very close!!!! Otherwise we really enjoyed staying at this hotel.

Choir trip tp Boppard May 2018

This hotel was booked for our choir trip to Boppard. It is superbly situated on the banks of the Rhine on the southern edge of Boppard, which is a delightful town in a very picturesque spot. It is 10 minutes walk to the town centre, 15 if you take the path along the Rhine.The hotel is fairly basic but our good sized room (en suite of course and with TV) had a magnificent view over the Rhine. Beds were comfortable and there was a pleasant balcony to sit outside. Everything worked fine but Wi fi reception in some parts of the hotel was not good. The breakfasts were good - German of course. Our inclusive deal evening meals were not haute cuisine; the a la carte may be much better for all I know. The Rhine has a railway running along both banks and barges chug by all day and night. You have to be prepared for some noise from the frequent trains and barges, but on the Rhine side of the hotel you are quite well insulated. Personally I would happily stay there again for its situation and excellent value.

Nice spot in Boppard

I am a member of a choir of over 60 year old people (30 of us) on a twinning visit to Boppard.  The hotel was welcoming even providing breakfast at 4am in the morning on our last day,

Rooms were clean with verandas, good towels and plenty of hot water.  Views from some of the bedrooms of the Rhine were magnificent.  Excellent WIFI signal in bedroom.

Food was adequate,  Prices however were excellent.  One could certainly not epect more for the money that we paid.  

I would certainly go there again
