I stayed 5 days in Bremen–Vegesack and can only praise this property for my comfortable stay. This hotel was recommended to me, so I’m glad it fulfilled all of my needs and expectations. Staff were EXCELLENT, from reception to housekeeping to restaurant staff. 

My standard single room was located next to the stairs, so I heard some heavy footsteps every so often, but otherwise, the area was quiet. The room was clean and had everything I needed (except for one thing, see below) including strong wifi, a deep tub for soaking after a long day of exploring, and mini fridge. I had trouble sleeping my first night (the room didn’t get warm enough even though the heater was on the highest level) but the reception desk gave me an extra blanket and all was well thereafter!

The only downside was the lack of in-room coffee/tea service. I woke up very early, so getting coffee required getting dressed and heading down to the lobby. For the first two mornings, the machine was off and the front-desk person had to turn it on, which meant waiting for the machine to warm up before it could produce a hot beverage. Thankfully, on my third and final mornings, the machine was already on and it just took a couple of minutes to get my coffee. 

The breakfast spread was plentiful and had a wide variety for different palates. Hotel location was perfect for shopping, finding places to eat, the train station, etc. I really enjoyed my stay here (maybe I’ll invest in a travel percolator next time?) and would recommend the hotel to others.

Highly recommend!

We stayed there for a night in August. The weather was pretty cool so we did not miss not having ac. Beds were comfortable, basement parking was safe, strong wifi, good breakfast and very friendly staff around the hotel. We tried stepping out twice for a morning walk and came back because it was raining. When the reception staff saw us a third time, they gave us umbrellas and told us to enjoy their town. 
The location is good if you do not have to go to Bremen all the time. There are several restaurants just at the hotel's doorstep, the water front is about 5 minutes walk and the shopping area of the town literally just a minute away. The town square is pretty as is the walk around in the backstreets. 

During our second trip, we took the kids to see Vegesack and requested the lovely ladies at the reception if we could park there for some time, they allowed us to park for free. I wish we stayed here again instead of the Best Western at Bremen HBF which was very very basic and dated.

Good value

Was put up in this hotel while on a business trip in the area. The room was basic but clean. Service was great, very friendly front desk staff and a well appointed breakfast with probably the best coffee I've had in Germany. I liked the location of the hotel, a few minutes walk from the waterfront and to some restaurants and shops nearby. Also close to the train station.

Ok hotel close to lots

After quite a while time for a new review (last one dated from 2014). Meanwhile the Wi-Fi has dramatically improved (from sitting on the corridor in having good Wi-Fi in the room). The Wi-Fi is 'open' which in fact is a security risk. Would be best to implement a voucher system or at least protect it with WPA2. Although coverage is good it sometimes is slow and sluggish, but it is good enough.

Breakfast has also improved, although it was really busy in the morning no items were ran out and staff is very helpful. 

Big win is also the parking garage that is beneath the property, next to that the price is lower than the comparable hotel nearby (and you don't need earbuds for the ferry that starts 5:30am).

Only real downside that I had a room were defiantly was smoked in. They should ban smoking rooms entirely.

Anyway: think this will become my new place to stay for the next project period!

Decent hotel with parking

This Atlantic is a smallish multi-story building in downtown Vegesack, an industrial suburb of Bremen on the River Weser. Because of its limited size, the underground parking is extremely tight and limited and there is no bar or evening restaurant. The latter was a problem for us since we had a busy schedule. My room was just fine, and service good. The breakfast room on the second floor was up to standard. The bottom line is "ordinary".

Ordinary business hotel right downtown

There was no ac or air flow but the staff did give me a fan so I slept with fan and window open to make it work. This hotel is not downtown and 30 min train to rathskeller/city center. Breakfast was amazing but staff was not friendly. It's old fashion hotel key, not easy to use. No gym.

Good for a short business trip. WiFi is good and staff very friendly and helpful.

Actually I was not planning to stay in this hotel and looking an alternative in Bremen City Center..
The staff in the hotel is superb... They are very hardworking people and they are all ladies...
The breakfast was OK for me..
The rooms are clean.. BUT there was no air conditioning and it sometimes become very very hot during sleep. I needed to open the window. When you open the window, the outside noise started at 6:00am..!!
It is 10 min walk to Vegesack Train Station. There are small restaurants around..It is good to know such a hotel.
