We visited in late April and were the only guests at the inn since it was out of season.  Stefan was extremely helpful staying in touch by phone until we checked in.  We did not meet Frank, but we enjoyed an evening chatting with Stefan in the on site bar.  The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Stefan gave us recommendations for a bakery and restaurant in the village. The view overlooking the Mosel river was excellent. We highly recommended this B and B.  If we are able to visit this region again we will absolutely stay here.

Lovely Accommodations, Great Conversation

As a couple this is our third stay here. The area is beautiful, the views over the Mosel perfect. The room we had on the top floor was more than we expected. A fridge would have been nice as there is certainaly enough room but i am told that that will change. Great food and ambience

All the village has is woodland walks and stunning views. Breakfast is always very good  - not cheap stuff.
Diner is superb every time, Stefan has a well stocked collection of wines.
Great room, view, wellcome - I will be back on the Christmas break

Peace, food, wine and Wald

I had to find a place after flying 8 hours with my 91 year old parents that was quiet and accommodating.  The Anker Hotel met all those needs, topped off by a very classy gentleman Stefan who helped us as he could, including an early morning breakfast as we had an early long drive to make a ceremony.  Would gladly meet his acquaintance again as well as stay at the Hotel Anker again.

Stefan is an excellent, easy going host that makes you feel right at home. The rooms are clean and neat and the bathrooms are spotless. The slightly more expensive rooms overlook the Mosel and the vineyards across the river. The hotel also has a bar and restaurant and the breakfasts were awesome. Overall this is a great spot to stay for the Bernkastel, Cochem, Zell and even Burg Eltz area. Be aware that this hotel is located in Briedel which is just 3 KM from Zell.
