We stayed for three nights just before new years and had the most amazing stay.

We drove from the UK and unfortunately due to delays at Calais we didn’t arrive until gone midnight. We arrived to the most friendly and happy chap that checked us in (I’m really sorry but I’ve forgotten your name!), he knew who we was and just generally made us feel so welcome after such a long drive.

The room was on the third floor and was lovely and quiet.  There was plenty of space for both of us. The shower was better than ours at home. It was just so lovely.

We plan to come back in the summer as it was far too cold to ride Chiapas and we desperately want to give it a go!

Perfect stay!

We stayed at this hotel for a night in November, ive stayed here a few times before and never had any complaints, I booked mainly for the hour in the theme park without any guests, In the past at least one rollercoaster has been open open in this hour, but these time it was the swings and carousel, I just think this is pointless as both of these rides don’t really build a queue up in the day so it’s not really a benefit to open these early, rooms are pretty basic, I couldn’t find any English channels on the tv, also I did ask for a room with an “okay” view, as it was a quiet time of year and the hotel wasn’t really busy I thought this wouldn’t be an issue… we got a car park view, I’d defo look elsewhere to stay, very expensive compared to nearby hotels.

The occasion for the overnight stay was a business event. The service was friendly and punctual. The latter expressed itself in the punctuality of the opening of the breakfast room (7 a.m.) and the bar - the times were observed, no minute earlier, so it had to be waited outside. The coffee was not good, the rest of the offer was ok. My room was in the courtyard, however, the motorway was clearly audible. The air conditioning was loud. The room was clean. The bar was over-organized, so that it seemed unorganized again. The gin Fizz was of a quality underground. The parking space was free for hotel guests, as was the leisure park visit.

African theme hotel

The hotel is literally overlooking the park. Incredible cleanliness. Careful reception, efficient and very courteous, a special compliment to Lars. Experience beyond all expectations. It is not cheap, but the quality price ratio is excellent. Breakfast incredibly rich. Buffet dinner (extra) is definitely worth doing. Excellent experience, I will repeat declared 3 stars S... worth at least 4 if not more

This is a wonderful hotel.

It doesn't keep its promise: we eat vegan and we booked the Matamba because of the vegan food application. The breakfast was anything but vegan: no vegan milk on the buffet (which you can have), a vegan cut on the buffet where the cheese is stored. Otherwise, a bunch of dairy products, sausage and eggs.

Vegan: not recommended

Already on arrival in the hotel hall you feel in a different world. Check-in in African clay huts and between exotic plant beds. Rooms (looking to the park) very tastefully furnished. Great sky bed with mosquito nets and very beautiful 2nd tent bed for children. Spacious shower. Exquisite breakfast with African flavor. Eating in the Zambesi restaurant is very excellent. Especially zebra, grilled strawberry, banana salad, but also many North African dishes that were excellent. Beautiful garden setting. Unfortunately, sitting outdoors is cold.

What a wonderful African experience

The hotel is very nice in terms of the African ambience. The courtyard itself is beautiful and very detailed. You feel like you are in Africa, alone by the sounds of animals and the many palms and statues staff very friendly and helpful. We had a standard safari room on the 3rd floor, enough for one night. Unfortunately it was located towards the street, so it was sometimes very loud. In the bar in the main house itself we wanted to end the day, rejected the idea quickly. Self-service is not a problem for me at all, but when 3 employees of the bar are clearly overwhelmed despite operation and then you are also uncomfortable, I don't like to have a clear day but you don't have to show it so obviously.

We were there for the third time & found ed everyone as before. There's still a lot of money saved no more cups for the kids to take cocktails with them etc. Check in was very friendly & nice & that the room was finished very early which was great. Breakfast was always & it's still good, very good selection & quality of food fits equally. Check out isr unfortunately still too early..:-:-. Overall price performance ratio is really expensive here with a visit to the park & co.

3 Visit

If you like people yelling at you, refusing to speak your language or English, if you like industrial food that's been recycled, and if you like paying a three-star price for that same food, then you're definitely in the right place.

It's a sad day.
