Our flight from Hahn airport was very early so we chose to stay over rather than drive through from Frankfurt in the morning. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We didn't make use of any of the amenities

Good Airport Hotel

We made our booking at last minute, because havent been sure where we will come by car traveling trough country for last night. Where wasnt any problems with our late booking, we just found the key in door, information on reception. No need for any stuff, door was open, wifi codes were in room. We had early flight, so left room without any additional help from stuff.

Perfect for 1 night stay for early flights from Hahn

This hotel is a very unusual sort of hotel.  I guess they are accustomed to guests coming in late from the airport and only staying one night, like we did.  Our RyanAir flight touched down at Frankfurt Hahn Airport just after 9pm.  I’d made reservations online (and paid in advance) at this hotel, being one of the only inexpensive places somewhat close to the rather isolated airport.  When I checked with the lady at the bus ticket window, she told us not to take the bus (that I’d diligently found out about), but to take a taxi or walk the 2 kilometers.  I guess she thought a bus would be confusing knowing we didn’t speak German.  We asked a taxi driver if he knew where the hotel was, and how much it would cost.  He told us he knew where it was and that it would be 10 Euros or less, so away we went.  The small, quiet town of Buchenbeuren is just outside the airport grounds, and we quickly arrived at hotel.  Sure enough, the meter read 9.60 Euros.  The hotel has no sign with its name, just a rooster logo on the building and a series of those online hotel feature signs for WiFi, A/C, Coffee, Spa, etc.
We found the entrance, whose door was kept open and unlocked by a rope tied around the handles.  Strange!  When we stepped inside, there was a small reception desk, unattended, with a sign for the hotel rules and another sign stating that guests checking in late would find their room key inside their room.  Below that it had our name and room 233.  We went upstairs, found 233, and sure enough, the room key was inside in the door lock.  Stranger!  Oh well, the room looked nice enough.  It had 2 twin beds, TV, refrigerator,  desk, wardrobe, and a nicely appointed bathroom with shower.  The TV had a lot of channels, but few were in English.  It also had WiFi.  When we left the next morning, there was still nobody at the reception desk, so we left our key in the room as requested.  We never did find the coffee, or several of the other features shown outside, but the place was convenient, clean, and only 40 some Euros a night.   By the way, we walked back to the airport in the morning, so it can be done, I just wouldn’t advise it at 10 o’clock at night.

Frankfurt Hahn Airport Overnighter

The hotel is super close to the airport. The airport is tiny and very easy to get to from this hotel. In fact, the owner recommended a restaurant to us that was on the airport grounds...that's how close and easy it is to get to. If you have a car, parking can be a bit hard because there's no parking lot, but we parked down the street and were fine. There is a shuttle for the hotel to the airport but we didn't use it so I'm not sure about the details. Check in was really easy-there was a list of names and room numbers so you went right up to your room and the key was in the door. You don't even need to bother with reception! There's no elevator so be prepared to carry your suitcases. The room itself was great - very comfortable and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the shower was nice with good water pressure and lots of hot water. Lots of storage in the room as well. Free wifi too!  You don't even need to talk to the owner if you don't want to, but she is very nice and friendly, speaks excellent English, and is happy to recommend a nearby place to eat. No frills, nothing fancy, but convenient and exactly what you need to catch a flight. Can't beat it for the price!

Not much to do in the town, but perfect before a flight

When we arrived the door handle had a towel around it so the door would always be open. No reception staff during the advertised opening hours. 

The Hahn Airport used to be a US army base and the villages around thrived with the associated R & R. Now the village has nothing to offer as far as we could see.

As price was a heavy consideration during this trip we chose this place and I would do it again when needing a cheap airport hotel.
