We enjoyed a very delicious Mother's Day brunch buffet here. The choice was very good and varied. The price for adults was 26 euros. Earlier on the phone I asked how much it costs for a 10-year-old child. The answer was 13 euros. When I wanted to pay after the brunch, 20 euros were charged for the child. When I asked why the price was not more than 13 euros, the answer was kindly that it looks like the child ate a lot!!!! I replied that they would have surely also seen that my daughter mainly ate only rice and bread???? She may look more than 10 years old because she is so generous, but she is a vegetarian and the rest of the time she didn't have to eat a large meat as she could, so if she was a grown-up girl, I thought she would have to eat it as quickly as possible, and if she hadn't, I'd just leave the restaurant and the kitchen.

But Mother's Day brunch prices changed afterwards.

In these, many good reviews, we asked ourselves the question: Were we at the wrong time in the right place at the wrong time? With a company we ate dinner at the Landhouse Easter. The good in advance. We were welcomed kindly. After this warm up we felt good expectations. The atmosphere welcomed us but not as a Landhouse at the Moselle.

Everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The room was cozy, clean and well equipped. The food was plentiful and left no wishes open. We are very happy to come back.

We landed here by chance on our tour of Moselle-Koblenz, in Trier.

Hotel Oster and Restaurant Oster next door located by quiet stretch of Moselle River. Nicely coordinated interior design throughout this marvelous building. Newer furniture and fixtures. They put some Serious money into modernizing. Quality work. Clean throughout. Ours was a bright, cheerful room away from the street. Quiet. Our balcony looked almost in window of house behind us. Old European villages such is the case. Not a problem. Cool, damp weather, we did not use balcony.. Bathroom modern and clean. Complimentary breakfast in restaurant very generous, Many choices. Attendants very helpful and friendly. Parking included. Overall rating: 4.5 on scale of 5. I would stay again.    Bonus of this location: excellent Restaurant Schinnen right around the next block. Looks like hole in wall with a hole in roof. Husband and wife run the place. Food is outstanding, prices righteous, The locals come often. A 4.5 on scale of 5.   Also, Zems Wine Cellar twelve min. walk has a really neat atmosphere with low barrel vault ceilings. A 4 on scale 5.

Most rooms have a view of the mosque with a balcony friendly staff who take good care of their guests.

Hotel with a beautiful view of the Moselle

Even though only 3 stars is all there is. We were here for the third time. The rooms on the street are quiet, have a balcony and view of the mosque. The food is delicious. There is also a nice beer garden. There is free parking. Family care. The staff is also very helpful. The food is superb. There is also a cosmetics institute in the house. Also to recommend. So for relaxation.

Family run hotel

The hotel is suitable for families with small children (maisonette/apartment as a room) and also for couples. Our room was very clean, and not too small. Despite our direct location on the street we could sleep well (very good, hard mattresses) as the windows are absolutely soundproof. Not even the morning bird whistle is pierced (windows were open all night and then closed because of the birds:-)) Breakfast is absolutely sufficient and the service is always on a regular basis (especially coffee!). Thanks again over this road! Right behind the street is the mosque (from the street side windows to see the water) and you can walk around the room beautifully.

Nice hotel.

We've been coming to Eller for a short vacation for many years now. Because of the very personal atmosphere and the super nice staff, we're always happy to come back to the Oster country house. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. The breakfast buffet is rich, there's as much coffee and tea as you want.
