A nice hotel situated a short distance from local shops. A long way from Cologne City Centre - about 30 minutes by road. The rooms were found to be very clean with ample, easily accessible, power sockets. The flat screen modern TV had a few English speaking channels. Plenty of room to hang clothes in an open front styled wardrobe. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. But no croissants available - just bread rolls (lots of them). Vegetarians not very well catered for (well it is Germany) but it was noticed that a gluten intolerant sufferer was looked after. The evening meal was reasonable but the dessert needed some improvement in both quantity and imagination. Staff were attentive and helpful. Quick to clear tables of debris from previous course. Two complimentary bottles of water (one still and one sparkling) were placed in the room, but there was no way to open the metal caps!! Two complimentary Santa Claus/Kris Kringle chocolates were placed in the room along with two "treat-size" packs of Haliboo chews. A good effort made to win customers!
