We booked a room there a month ago, and at the time of check-in, no one was there, and no one was reachable. It's also not suitable for cyclists because it's at the top of the mountain and you have to drive up steeply for almost a mile.

Not recommended

With family (8 years old daughter) and dog booked via Booking.com - fortunately not yet paid online. According to telephone information checkin until 22:00 hours. At 20:15 there and still eating, we should check in lt. service afterwards. After payment it was at 21:30 hours, they said we would not have been in the computer, this was a transmission error from Booking.com and would have happened more often. We were on the street without overnight. Then we called all the hotels and stayed at Dormero Hotel (super clean, cheap and top-friendly!) Never again.

Trying to stay overnight is disastrous

We were driving across Europe and once again stopped here.

Room 2, first floor, beds for three, vinyl floor.

Exactly the same as last time.

Hand wash and shower wash provided, now that is an improvement.

So, comfortable beds, plenty of room, nice bathroom.

The bar had a live band playing. Great music. Lovely drinks.

I will return.

No frills, lovely beer, good beds.

How did we get into the breakfast room with two tables occupied. We booked the night two weeks in advance. In the next room, the light was off and not heated. There were no plates, no bread, no coffee, no staff in sight. For half an hour, then ser tattooed tenants who can't communicate with people can enter. I told him that we've been waiting for half an hour as well as other guests here. Other guests couldn't check out. Then he told me that we weren't in the computer for breakfast. So he's also a clairvoyant.

Room was cosy and nice, they had hand soap in a dispenser this time! Hurrah, an advance.  

 That was it for the room! Nothing else at all.

We ordered food in the form of a plate of meats etc with bread, that was delicious and just what we needed and at under 10 euros, good value.

Booking in and departing were easy.

It was a Thursday evening and there was an event going on, the main bar/restaurant were packed, it looked really good.

So, same old, same old, any improvement would be an advantage but, if they don't take note of this we will still go!

Same as before

The grocery store has gotten younger, news that pleases and tastes... time and time again... cozy... nice service... mega view in the beer garden... fine desserts and cakes. parking lots for everyone right in front of the house... clubs welcome.

New host new momentum

Nice country inn where you can easily spend a night on the way. Rooms are sufficient and clean. There are also plenty of parking spaces. Breakfast was perfectly fine in our opinion.

The rooms are very clean and they change the sheets every day.It is recommended if you have a car to move around the city.The breakfast service is not included in the price of a night.

Very expensive.

Of my many, many reviews, I believe I have only given one really bad review.  I often give places the benefit of the doubt, in that they may just be having a bad day.  However, this 'place'...

We arrived at the Beim Krahwir, which is located at the top of a very steep hill, after cycling over 100km and my wife duly went to book in while I watched the bicycles.  We had booked the previous evening and had received confirmation emails that our reservation had been made.  However, my wife was told by the receptionist that there was no booking for us and, no matter what my wife said, the receptionist just repeated that there was no booking.  She would not listen to reason, even when shown the booking confirmation, so my wife duly asked to speak to the manager.  

The manager's response was to say that it was booking.com's fault, they had double booked, so there was nothing he could do.  I have cycle-toured all over Europe - we were doing the Danube on this trip - and never have I experienced double-booking from booking.com.

When my wife complained, she was told in no uncertain terms that it was not his [the manager's] problem and she should take it up with bookings.  When my wife expressed her displeasure - in a rational and calm way - he replied with, "Oh, welcome to Germany, thank you, goodbye".  At this point, she came out, told me what he had said and left me to deal with it.  In short, he hummed and hawed when I went in, tried to find us somewhere else, although his rude and arrogant attitude did change somewhat when he realised things were becoming a bit 'heated'.  Incompetence and inefficiency I can deal with, but the arrogance and rudeness of this particular 'gentleman' was way out of line.  From this point on he just kept apologising and saying it was not his fault.

I like trip advisor reviews, but the one thing I don't like is that this rude, arrogant spineless manager can reply to this, but I won't be able to respond to his comments.  I strongly suspect he simply booked someone else into the room - after we had booked it - so he could get all the money, as opposed to giving booking.com a percentage if he had actually honoured his obligation to us.  He has already proved to be a man of extremely low morals and character, so I expect some fairy tale response from him.  

I will now be looking at other ways I can warn people against going to this place, whether they be reviews or whatever else.
