What was good

Location was very good, very near the center of Dortmund and within walking distance of the train station. On our departure date (fairly early) we received an extensive breakfast package.

What was bad

On arrival the lady from the reception told us that we had booked a small (?) room, but for 20 € more could have a larger one. Strang, nothing was mentioned about small or bigger room during the booking. We think that once this hotel has finished the construction works this should be a beautiful hotel. But the work inside and outside were disturbing and the name "Zen" is not worthy for this period. There was not much to notice about the breakfast buffet. Sandwiches were gone. Milk on the table was gone. Pancakes gone. Waffles gone. 1/3 filled thermos with coffee. And the staff (man) was not really friendly and everything we asked was accompanied by a sigh. We were at least at 8.00 at the breakfast table and the breakfast lasted until 10.00. Mister of the breakfast, perhaps a good advice. If you do not like your job, look for something else. People pay good money to be treated better.
