The campsite does not have a swimming pool but is a community swimming pool. It is a disappointing place and we do not recommend it.

It's not nice.

It’s a big busy site, with pitches crammed in.   When we were there (July) there were lots of kids playing, running around and enjoying themselves. You can paddle in the river, in fact wade across the border from Germany to Luxembourg.  People were floating down the river on rafts, kayaks and rubber rings.

It’s a short stroll across the bridge into the attractive little town with its shops and bars.

 There is a pool on the site, but you pay for it by the day, so not much good for a quick dip when you get back to the site in the evening.

Busy campsite in a great location

The first glance deceived us. Large square with three old sanitary facilities. They are cleaned only once a day. The water runs down the walls because it is not ventilated properly. While the gentlemen are cleaned between 10:45 and 12:00 the gentlemen simply go to the ladies' bathroom, go to the toilet and also shower there. This is not possible unless you are informed in advance. Especially striking is that these are often permanent campers. It is really a shame that such a beautiful place in such a beautiful landscape is so poorly managed. We would love to pay 10 euros more if it goes to the sanitary facilities at least three times a day. But then you would probably get cheaper and cleaner campers. But now what is more expensive is not to keep a nice place in such a beautiful landscape.

Other, of a kind used for the manufacture of goods

This site is located on the river. German side of the bridge. It’s a short walk into the lovely town. It has lots of lovely bars and is a pretty town to explore. Tourist info near the Abbey has a self guided walk you can do which takes you around the main parts. The campsite is a little basic and rundown looking but the showers were good with lots of hot water. It was out of season and a good price, it may be different in season. 

Great location 

Since we knew the CP from an earlier vacation, we (family 3 generations) booked two places that we knew were very shady. I had asked extra for 3 small children, if the places were shady. This was confirmed. When we arrived in July, the shade-giving trees were cut back so far that they couldn't give shade. Toilets and showers reach their limits in the HS. And then the building noise from 7:00 a.m. onwards. The border bridge E29 was repaired. In the beautiful outdoor pool there were more frequent clashes, with police use. Nothing for rest seekers.

No more in prime time

Very busy campsite, crowded, lively. Facilities could benefit from more frequent cleaning and showers are small. Well-organised though and great for kids - particularly the pool with diving board. Echternach, which is very close by, is a beautiful town and worth exploring.

The entire staff (reception, cleaning, waste, place cleaning) is very friendly and helpful. Discount, drugstore, bakery and some restaurants are located nearby. Nice outdoor pool with steaming and lots of games and animation. Wi-Fi for a fee. Either no night rest from 10pm, or is not enforced. Nice starting point for hiking and cycling, canoeing or fishing. However, on the other side of the river is worth a visit. Sanitary facilities have been cleaned several times a day, but are overcrowded in the HS. Many trees have been cut down, so there are hardly any shady places. The noise of the E29 (day and afternoon) and the noise of the river at night is already significant for the traffic.
