The rooms are absolutely sufficient if you are travelling on a budget. Unfortunately, the hallways are remnants of the time when the house was a nursing home. It even smells slightly disturbing like a hospital. Even the emergency lamps are still on the room doors. So the atmosphere is a bit habitual. The staff is always helpful and friendly. An unexpected highlight was the breakfast. Highly recommended and bookable even for non-hotel guests.

Recommended for a short stay

We stayed here 1 night. I admit the rooms were booked in last minute by a local girl who helped us. I suppose all good rooms were occupied, we got 2 economical rooms with single beds. It was ok, it had everything essential but it was nothing special for me. My only concern was that the heating wasn't working though it was cold outside (maybe September is too early for them to sart the heating?).
Hotel's location is good, it is about 10 minutes from city centre.
Breakfast is also nothing special, just the basic things: eggs, musli, joghurt, some cheese and ham.

Average hotel nothing special

I've never stayed in an EX nursing home, but it's a nice restored room, nice beds, friendly staff and very affordable, so hopefully this stay saved me from a real nursing home.

Basic but functional business hotel. Friendly English speaking staff. Rooms ok but lack a desk (just bed and bathroom). Bed itself is quite comfortable and ok for a one night Stop over.

Good breakfast and close to the town centre.



Functional business hotel

Garni Hotel with a very good price-performance ratio and extremely friendly and very attentive hotel operators. The charm of the former senior home is particularly evident in the corridors of this house. The various rooms, including the bathroom, are generous and accessible in terms of space and do not cause any problems with cleanliness and hygiene. I personally received a room with an extremely generous rooftop and with tables and chairs. The breakfast table offered provides everything you need to start the day.

Garni Hotel with the charm of a former nursing home

We wanted to stay in Eggenfelden for one night. This hotel is very suitable for this. We booked a standard double room. As some travelers have reported, you quickly notice here that the hotel used to be an old house. It reminds you of everything. Doors floors bathrooms cabinets hallway. But everything is very clean and bright and spacious. The hotel owners are very nice and friendly. The breakfast is good and for the price is more than fine. The press is great. The breakfast room is decent and comfortable. The hotel is located near the city center. I can recommend it if the old house floor does not disturb you almost 100%. But there are also a few rooms that have been altered so early and I can't remember it much more. We can't really pay a total price for a trip for two weeks.

Ideal for short stays and very cheap

The room looked a little cold because it was ascetic-practical. Very simple but large single room. The bed looked soft but was very pleasant to sleep on. Rooms to the street could possibly be a little noisy if the window remains open at night. The single bed was right under the window, so the cold air fell right on the head. In winter this could be disturbing. Breakfast buffet was sufficient, but it certainly depends on personal taste.
