This place is probably more known and appreciated as restaurant. The hotel is not very modern but is very conveniently located in the city centre. WLAN is okay, service is fine. It looks clean. I would not recommend for a business trip (I don’t have a desk in my room) but there are not many alternatives in town.

Hotel in Eichstätt

The hotel is located in the very heart of the picturesque small town. The room is spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished. The staff of the hotel and restaurant is very young though very helpful and always smiling. The restaurant is highly recommended for those who enjoy typical Bayern dishes, which are homemade and very tasty. There’s also a variety of quality food for breakfast in the morning. I would definitely recommend this place.

A nice place to spend your business trip

Good food, it was not too expensive. The service was fantastic really kind and enthusiastic. Really really good Burgers (especially the small starter Burgers) and Beer. Just the Asiansoup was a bit cold

We were there twice in a row. :)

Stayed here for 1 night earlier this week.  First the good: our bedroom was a nice size, lots of storage, very clean, good size bathroom, recently renovated, decent price, good location.  Now the bad: parking was very confusing.  Web site made it sound like parking was readily available at hotel.  Wrong - parking is 2 blocks away in front of a church and not marked.  Some staff were not very friendly, especially compared to our other hotels on this trip, a few were nice.  Did not hear street noise with windows closed but could hear people above us.  Fortunately, noise only lasted for a few minutes and did not keep us up at night.  Based on reviews on another site, we expected excellent food.  Wrong.  While lunch was good and built up our expectations for dinner, my Haxe (pig knuckle) was dry and tough, tasted like it was sitting there all day.  My husband's spare rib, on the daily specials, were just as bad, and the sauce was just ketchup.  Only beer on tap was the local town beer, same as all the other bars in town and just average.  Best part of stay was our dessert - apfel ringe, basically an apple ring fried in dough and sprinkled with cinnamon/sugar.  It's one of our favorite desserts and Trompete makes an excellent one.  Breakfast was very limited, meats and cheeses were lesser quality than usual.
So stay here for clean room, excellent location, dessert but not for food or friendly service.

Real disappointment

The hotel lobby and restaurant are artistically decorated.  You soon realize this is a historic building.  You realize this even more upon entering and staying in their minimally decorated and poorly maintained hotel rooms.  Stay here only as a last resort and make sure you are wearing shoes or slippers.
