We are impressed by the warm welcome and family atmosphere of this facility. All necessary attractions are available in the building. Bike rental, wine bar, delicious breakfast. There are many parking spaces nearby. Guided tour of the vineyard and wine tasting were sensational. Beautiful surroundings and beautiful views. The owners and staff were very friendly. The best stay on the Moselle! 10/10

Best family atmosphere winery! 

One night stay but could of done a week! 2 bed apartment immaculately presented all round, breakfast was across the way & was of the highest standard a continental breakfast could be. Found a small local friendly restaurant for dinner & we struggled slightly when ordering food as know no German language (ignorant on our behalf) but ended up with some good local food & drink, brilliant! 

Excellent

Located in the town of Ellen, this is a very pleasant Pension. The room is large and clean. The breakfast which is included, get you started well in the morning. A pass for local transport system was included so you can get into Cochem or up river with ease. There are also bicycles available on-site for a nominal fee. 

Everything you need for pleasant exploration up and down the Mosel. The staff is helpful and friendly. Parking is available on-site.

Friendly and Clean. Good place to base you explorations of the Mosel area from.

Pension Basten is in a great location above Mosela river between Koblenz and Luxembourg. Owners are very supportive and producing excellent wine.  We stayed as  group of 10 people, all of us very satisfied. This pension we can highly recommend
