I wonder which Pension is number 1 in Erfurt, it must be very, very good to top Altstadtperle.
Large room , good bed (boxspring) , good bathroom, everywhere spotless.
Friendly and helpfull staff, good and safe parking for my motorbike.
And the breakfast..... couldn’t be better.
If I ever come back to Erfurt, which a beautifull vibrant city, I would like to stay here again

One of the best in Erfurt

My daughter and I chose to stay at this hotel on a Sunday on our way to Berlin from Mannheim. She was playing in a tennis tournament and we were exhausted. We booked the reservation on Saturday through booking.com. We didn't have wifi on the majority of our drive so about an our or so before we reached Erfurt, we were able to connect to find the address of the property. In small print, we see that they tell us if we are arriving past 3pm on the weekend we need to contact the hotel. By this time it is 8pm! We called the hotel and emailed them immediately. Then drove to the hotel and arrived at 9pm. It was still fully light outside. No one answered the door, no one answered the phone, no one responded to our email. We almost had to sleep in our car because we could not find another place. We were in tears. The next day we wrote to the hotel and asked for mercy to refund us. Even 1/2 of the cost would have been a decent thing to do. They refused to budge on their policy. This was a costly night for us. Just want to warn people about this.

Beware of the fine print!!

I asked for a room with three beds for three people, the third bed was actually a converted couch next to the kitchen, which then meant there was nothing to sit on for the three of us. But it was comfortable enough as a bed (I was the one who slept on it). The room was overall quite small for 3 people but we managed okay. The breakfast was great and the location was perfect, and the street was quiet. The hotel staff is quite nice and helpful.

small room but clean and can't beat the location

My husband and I rented a room here for 2 nights with our 18 y.o.son. It had a full kitchen and a car park in the grounds which cost €6 per day (didn't realise this this cost till we paid but it's better to have the hire car off the narrow streets). The room was ok (3 star rating) but had to get luggage up 2 flights of stairs. Also they were expecting our son (who's much taller than both of us) to sleep on a flimsy little roll away bed only fit for a child. Luckily there was a sofa bed in the room but I had to ask for bed linen and make the bed up myself. Within walking distance of the old town & many beautiful buildings, handy for restaurants.  Had to be careful not to bump our heads all the time on the sloping ceiling.  Wi-fi was very slow & I couldn't send emails.

Convenient location & car parking

Our room was huge and our view was of the river. The bed was very comfortable and the best part was that we were allowed to park our motorcycle in the grounds of the hotel right next to the entrance so I felt very happy about it's position.
The hotel is right by the town centre and the are many. many places to eat out of an evening.
The breakfast is in a very nice dining room at the front of the hotel and we had everything we needed to set us up for the ride to Brussels that day.
I'd recommend this hotel highly, it's clean, friendly and it's right by the tourist attractions too.
