We were told to go directly to their house at Andreasstraße 44:
We arrived way past the check-in time frame but everything worked out great and the family was understanding and friendly. The room itself had everything we hoped for and was in good condition. Additionally there was a well stocked shared kitchen which we made use of to cook ourselves some dinner.
Definitely not complaining: A clean, cheap room - great for staying a night or two!

Has everything you need

I wrote three letters in English, then another in German, without answer. I contacted the Booking.com support service. They wrote a letter, then called me with a request to answer. Nothing. And only on the fourth attempt they were able to get oral comments from the owner of the Val Hotel. But I spent a lot of time there. If the owner doesn't respect his customers so much that they don't explain where to get their keys from, where to get their money from, and it's not a question of where the buyer is going to put the money, and it's not a question of where the buyer is going to put it.

Total disrespect to guests

This hotel is good if you are looking for a cheap accommodation for a longer stay or a short stop. Don't expect luxury, the facilities are very simple, but the rooms offer plenty of space. And there is a community kitchen that you can use. Fortunately, we had some reviews of this guesthouse; otherwise we wouldn't have known that to pay, to get the keys, etc., you would have to go to the jewelry store next door. When we arrived, the room was not finished, an employee came in to pick up the bags while we were packing. The bathroom was large, but not very functional - and the mirror to hold the bags was so far away, the handbags were too small. There was a window underneath our window, but there was no contact for us, so we were not close to the clock, which was so close to the window, but it was not a matter of contact, because we were not close to the right side of the clock, which was not close to the window, which was so high that we could not get in touch with the case.

Cheap and easy

It is good if you're after a long, budget stay or a very quick stop over. Don't expect luxury, the facilities are very basic, but the rooms are spacious and there is a common kitchen, which you are able to use. Luckily we read some reviews about this guest house, otherwise we wouldn't have known that in order to get the key/pay etc we had to go into a jewelery store next door. When we arrived the room wasn't ready - a guy came in to change the sheets while we were unpacking. The bathroom was big, but not very functional - mirror too high and too far away from the sink, small towels. There was a cafe right under our window, but we were there during the week, so it closed by 11PM and there was no noise during the night. What we didn't like was that there was no contact information in case something happened or we needed something changed.
