My stay in this place was the worst ever. 
I spent 30 min in the place just looking for reception or someone to help to give me the room key after that I found envelope with key i took one and to room. Then after 1 hour I found a guy works there and not speak English start shout on me a lot in German and transfer me to the next room. 
Then next morning he came to my room and start knocking on my room 10 am and ask me to leave to the room. All of this in german which I didn’t understand anything he says. 

He didn’t tell me, explain or write on paper in English before how policy of guesthouse, breakfast time that i lost or check out time. 

Room was dirty and a lot of dust like never cleaned. 

Place in nowhere which I think it’s dangerous at night so I stayed in my room hungry without dinner. 

It was the worst person and place i ever been in my life. 

BE AWARE OF THIS DANGEROUS PLACE AND THIS RUDE PERSON WHO MANAGES THE PLACE

The worst place ever in my life

We arrived very late after a long drive from Dunkirk, but the very friendly receptionist took us around to the (closed) restaurant at the rear and made us some delicious food, in lieu of a chef.  This is not the usual service you get from reception and it was really appreciated, which gets 2 stars of its own.

The 1 star is for the sleeping accommodation, although in fairness we did get what we expected (and paid for). We were only using this as a stopover on our journey to Switzerland, and were on our way again by 7am.

A lovely surprise was the breakfast.

Felt a bit like a hostel

Good place, not very cheap but the prices are right for the quality offered, good breakfast at the morning. Annexed restaurant where you can eat in a decent way. Near to the Gasthaus there is a place where on Sunday evening you can eat meat or cheese at the grid (even if it rains!).

We ordered months in advance, emailed hotel few day in advance informing them we were arriving late, no response. Called prior to departure to find out they had forgotten about reservation and hotel would be closed.....
After discussion landlord agreed to leave key under doormat... 
At arrival found ourself in empty hotel, managed to find room. Room was based on price acceptable
Suprise surprise, in morning to find breakfast wasn't ready.. Asked but were told to wait another 45mins... We left without... Didnt want to wait.. Disappointing service
