The hotel is located in the middle of Freinsheim and very close to the restaurants in the village. The rooms are nice. However, the cleanliness of the whole hotel leaves to be desired. We had to clean our room with a disinfectant we bought. There were completely dusty and no longer cleaned storage areas everywhere. The extreme mold in the shower could not be removed, of course. The toilet seat was loose on the toilet seat and so it seemed not to be cleaned at all, otherwise the damage would have been noticed. We did not allow our room to be cleaned in advance by the cleaning staff present here. The risk was high! The breakfast consisted of packaged finished products and the amount of pieces of bread in all our days was too similar to the content of the toilet. The breakfast was not in a perfectly good condition, and the taste was not in line with the recommendations of Corona.

Completely unsuitable for the time of the coronavirus!

The central location is beautiful, the city's restaurants are within walking distance. Our suite had a freshly renovated, spacious bathroom with unusually much storage space. In the courtyard there are still many guests sitting late at night, it's loud accordingly. The WiFi is weak, it's constantly shutting down. The breakfast is unpleasant and not worth mentioning.

Well, that's it.

Beautiful and cozy hotel in old walls. The room was modern and clean. The breakfast offer was accommodating and sufficient. Also the staff was very friendly. The hotel is located right in the historic old town within the city wall.

A short visit to the parish

The location is superb. Middle of a quaint village, inner courtyard with paved floors, it all is very beautiful. The building is modern, clean, nice. But that is not an excuse to have such small tiny beds and amazingly narrow bathrooms. I am a large man, sure, but to sit on the toilet i would need to lube my body left and right since the toilet is lodged between the “furniture” wood of the lavabo and the wall. I had so squeeze in and practically force myself back up. 

We asked for a double bed and we got two tiny small beds arranged next to each other, 70cm each so I thing it was a 140cm for two..... 
Closed reception after 9pm. Very few towels in the bathroom. No small washcloths. And we could not find any temperature control panel for the AC anywhere. Also a mini bar but empty, some drinks to buy downstairs, that’s all. And the TV has 1000 channels but most do not work and we only found BBC world in English. All the other channels only had the German sound and if you’d Select English language, it would not work..... what’s the point ? 

There is an “intra muros” parking behind the hotel to reach through nearby streets. Most streets are extremely narrow and weirdly not one-way. But scary. Don’t come with a truck, it won’t pass. 

It’s more a bed and breakfast than a hotel really. For thin people it’s probably ok but for large people it’s not possible. My personal rating would be 2* but for most people it would be 4* I guess. Let’s compromise. 

Beautiful but tiny beds. 

We found the modern rooms in the old walls very nice and the quiet courtyard is very inviting especially in the evening. The breakfast is affordable but rich and the service very friendly. However, our table had the same coffee stains for three days, our room was not cleaned once and the minibar should also be equipped with a suite.

All right, except for all the overbookings from our group with seven double rooms. It was corrected, but only oral accusation over the phone, no compensation should have happened, as we already had a written confirmation long in advance.

Traveling holiday

The location in the center of Freinsheim is very pleasant, our room was small, enough for a stay of two or three days, well equipped and modern, clean. The reception was friendly, the breakfast was varied and sufficient, eggs were available on request. Perhaps even more: the hotel parking space is a little complicated to find the first time.

When you book weeks ago, you get a lapidary message almost a week in advance that the hotel is overbooked and the booking cannot be maintained, and an alternative is offered that is not, and that was it, and as a traveler, you experience amazing things over and over again, but this has never really happened to us.

From this hotel you can only guess

There was a minibar, but it was empty! Drinks in the courtyard were available only very hesitantly and on multiple demands at noon! The lighting in the bathroom above the sink was defective (wackle contact). It was unbearable on the first night, the windows were closed, the soft smell of the carpet floor did not belong in a newly renovated room either! For the price of 135 euros the night we expected more! Safe could not be used - defective! In Suite 31 there is no air conditioning!

What is it?

Stayed at this charming hotel for a wedding last weekend. My room may have been a bit small but more than adequate. The bed was very comfortable and cosy and clean. Breakfast was more than substantial and the staff were wonderful. The setting is in the Centre and close to lovely coffee shops and restaurants just perfect.
