Whilst driving to Hannover we found this wonderful hotel by chance. Our hotel in Hannover had overbooked and gave our room to someone else during the storm. We could not find anywhere to stay at nightime and as a family of 5 we telephoned 40 hotels in Hannover At 2am and after 2 hours looking for a place to stay in the storm, the night porter at Hotel Landhaus am See gave us 2 beautiful rooms. He laid the table for our breakfast and the next morning we were warmly welcomed. The breakfast was excellent and the room was huge, comfortable and very well appointed. Lots of designer furniture and touches. Lots of parking and it only took us 20 minutes to drive to Hannover city center the next morning even during the rush hour. We would definitely return! All the big hotel chains said no becuase they could not accept a new booking at nighttime. It was a joy to find the Landhaus am See. At least some hotels still have a heart!

Wonderful hotel with a heart!

I booked this hotel as the regular hotels were full due to trade exhibitions. It was booked without any research and I was pleasantly surprised when I got there. My bedroom was on 2 levels with stairs up to the bed area on a mezzanine floor, nicely decorated with contemporary furniture. The following morning there was a huge breakfast in the restaurant laden with cheeses, meats, cereals and breads. The staff were amazingly friendly and I wouldn't look elsewhere now when coming back to Hannover.

A Hidden Gem

Lovely hotel, with great staff. the food is fantastic and the swimming pool a nice addition.

The only down side is that there is no air conditioning and the rooms were very warm. it made sleeping difficult on some evenings. having said that i would still return.

Greta hotel, but really hot

Arrived late in the evening. Were welcomed by friendly receptionists. Checked in without problems. 
My room was number 4 at ground level. It was a cold night outside and I was fortunate that the staff had the heating at a decent temperature for me to walk into.
I was part of a group booking and we all freshened up and met in the restaurant where we had a lovely evening with some really lovely food.
We finished up the evening at the bar, then returned to our rooms.
Room number 4 was very comfortable, shower was great and bed was a dream to sleep on.
Got up in the morning and went for breakfast, which was a little disappointing. We the had a group event and went out for some driving. 
After the drive we came back and jumped into taxis to get to Hanover Airport.

Automotive Review Event 

Great place to stay, really comfortable rooms and super friendly staff! Come back every 6 months or so and wouldn’t consider anywhere else! Food is always amazing and the pool is really nice to relax after a few gins from the night before! 

Regular visitor!

I stayed at the Landhaus am See for one night on a business trip. The restaurant is high class and they have a lovely terrace with a beautiful view of the lake. In the room you found everything you needed . I hadn't the chance to check out the swimming pool and the nature around the lake.
