The first glass was already empty when the starter food came in. Very long waiting times (already on the map we apologize for that). Restaurant equipment is 80 years old and very old fashioned. Also the food is not for young people and you don't feel comfortable there. They were often eating there. Also the food itself is not very good... Potatoes completely unroasted and slices very quickly cold... Field salad was too spicy and therefore easily inedible. Also the service asked if we have already decided 3 times out of 10 times... That's why we felt stressed. Prices are also too high.

Not recommended

As a cyclist on the road, we were welcomed. We had a nice refrigerator with drinks on the second floor. We had a very spacious room with a balcony. The dinner was excellent. Clear praise for the kitchen. Great outdoor area. Breakfast at the table praise for the service. There was no desire left open. More than a great choice. Once we're back on the road, we'll come back.

Excellent food cuisine excellent - accommodation top

Top local and hotel. Provides regional and seasonal cuisine. Super price performance. Especially to mention the own brewery around the house. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The family inn in Sasbach in Ortenau is located between Offenburg and Baden-Baden, near Bühl and Achern, 35 km from Europapark Rust. They are known for the fine cuisine in the restaurant of the brewery. On the terrace with beer garden you have a view of the Black Forest panorama, the winery and the vineyards.

Best cuisine in the region

We've only been here one night and we've enjoyed it very much. The only criticism is that on the second floor there's a refrigerator with drinks in it that's been out of juice for over a year.

Very nice hotel

2 nights in a lovely typical Black Forest Gasthof. Large room with a private balcony, large spotlessly clean bathroom.  I ate here for both nights, downstairs in the restaurant. The hotel is family owned and run, with Daniel as both chef and brewer. Their home brewed beer is delicious, and perfectly compliments the food, which is traditional.  I enjoyed a salad, with a "Cordon Bleu" schnitzel on my first evening. The second night I had a dish of spatzle with meat sauce. WiFi is free but signal is not brilliant owing to the location between the mountains. Very friendly hotel and good service. The breakfasts are lovely.

Excellent short stay

A nice hotel at the beginning of the High Forest route. Beautiful and spacious rooms with balcony and views towards the High Forest. Good breakfast, very richly covered, with fresh fruit, even the breakfast egg extra cooked. Rooms and bathroom very clean. Price-performance ratio very good. The family tradition is maintained in the hotel with beautiful ornaments that are very lovingly placed and thus allow the guest a small trip into the past. The only negative, TV very small for the large room, which TV went out again and again, was not to be set. For this we have had a beautiful view from the room.

Black forest holidays 22.02.2014

From the balcony of my room, I had a wonderful view of orchards and vineyards in the Black Forest. Spacious room, nicely furnished, and bathroom. Good breakfast with fresh fruit and organic yogurt, among others. Very good price-performance ratio. Large parking space.

Beautiful inn at the foot of the Black Forest

In the lion, you eat very well, especially during the wild season. The portions are always lavish, most of the time I can't make a dessert, even if the desserts are very fine. I don't know the hotel rooms.
