The rooms are very modern, very different from what you can see in the pictures, except the bathroom is quite simple, otherwise everything was very clean and you can feel comfortable, very nice staff and breakfast was also top, delicious bread, good choice and very nice service.

Low-income hotel in the city centre

This is basic hotel built perhaps in 1970’s. Apart from flat TV all furniture look old but still well maintained. Choice of food for breakfast was basic too: eggs, sausages, cereals, bread/rolls and butter, juice, coffee or tea, yogurt, cheese. The reception in this hotel opens in the morning and closes in the evening.

Basic hotel with limited recepton availability

The room is very simple and shows clear traces of use. It really has the impression from the room that it has hardly been modernized since the 90s. Nevertheless, it is absolutely clean and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. The absolute highlight is the breakfast buffet, which is so rich and delicious and definitely only has high-quality food. It definitely doesn't save. The ambiance in the entrance area and the breakfast room is definitely modernized. Maybe it was just my room.

Price performance is correct

We were in a hotel in Ludwig Square for one night with eight adults and two babies, because we were invited to a wedding. It was a bit complicated to book the only two available baby beds for us. The statement of one male employee: Following availability was happily changed by another lady to Following availability. The service at check-in and -out was very friendly. At breakfast, I didn't have any staff. The rooms were baked, and then the color went off and the windows had double glazing of the old bread type - two windows facing each other.

It's basically okay, but price/performance is wrong!

The room was OK but the bathroom was small. The breakfast was exceptionally rich. The hotel is located not far from Berliner Platz where one can take a bus in whatever direction one wishes. Also, it is walking distance from the town center.

Comfortable and in good location

The bathroom and the bathroom were very sparingly furnished. There was no storage for laundry, only a dressing basket and a small bench for the suitcases. There was also no storage in the bathroom. The toothpans, cosmetics and toilet paper were on the dishwasher. To press the dishwasher button, you had to lift the cosmetics. The beds were okay, otherwise the cleanliness was desired. The color on the windows faded away and the dirt was particularly visible at the bathroom window. The hotel is very central and you can easily reach the center. We had the room on the street, which is not recommended, since even after a rush of traffic, we could come here until 3 o'clock. In addition, at a proper hour, the light and the music was very easy to hear.

Spartan room

Positive: central location, renovation work has begun (currently underway). Very friendly lady checking out at the reception. Improved: refurbishment backlog (charm of the 1970s, much looks very worn out), cleanliness, faulty night light bulb, further contamination of the toilet/WC brake tracks on arrival, unwashed garbage cans on arrival, dirty shower curtain, shower cover loose in the shower sleeve, TÜV checking of the course according to the signage in the shower, water in the living room is very clear, breakfast: chocolate and similar to finished product wrapped in fruit and vegetables (fresh cereal) in order.

Optimization needs

We were at a concert in Giessen and we were looking for a hotel in a central location. The rooms are large, the location central, the only positive thing about this stay.

Charm of the '70s

I arrived at this hotel a few days after heavy rains flooded the neighborhood, so there were problems to deal with upon arrival which guests were not warned about.  First, the hot water did not get hot unless you let the faucet run anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes.  I am not exaggerating.  The TV didn't work. I was told both of those problems were due to the flooding. The wifi was ridiculous, every 30 minutes it cuts off so you have to sign in again.  It was noisy and hot. There's no AC so i had to leave the windows open and i was on the loud street side of the building.  That said, i found the breakfast and the room very satisfying, but the experience as a whole was disappointing and they did not offer any consolation after all that.

Bad Timing

It is not the worst hotel I've been in but...

It was warm, and they have no aircon...
Opening windows lets the noise of the 4/5 lane road outside in. This noise starts at 05.30 and doesn't stop until late. So it was either sweat in a hot room or listen to heavy traffic.
The room itself was small and ill equipped, from the poor shower to the small storage space, no bar, no iron, water temperature was difficult to regulate, opening a window blocked the backroom door, opening the window in the bathroom meant the whole street could see you shower.

The hotel car park is also tiny and badly laid out, it's also across the 4/5 lane road from the hotel.
