I had anticipated staying a single night and quite unsure of what I was going to get as I drove around the region - but across the quality of the room and food, the view of the Glucksburg Castle across the street and the professionalism and pleasantness of the staff, I had a hard time leaving.  The area also has a number of trails from the castle out to the coast and around.  I find myself challenged to leave, but I must!

A one night stay turned into three nights!

We had a wonderful welcome and all staff were charming throughout our stay. The hotel is in a fantastic position just across the road from Glücksburg castle. 

Our room had been recently decorated to a good standard. We had a lovely big balcony and could see across to the castle. 

Breakfast was very simple, but adequate. We didn't try the restaurant but it seemed very popular with the locals, which is always a good sign.

Simple, good value accommodation with fabulous staff. We would definitely recommend and return.

A warm welcome

Stayed here for a customer visit, the room was small for 1 person but i can't complain. Nice atmosphere and owner is very friendly. They do not speak English very well but willing to communicate. Food was adewuate and i will stay here again.

Awesome quaint hotel across the castle.

We stayed one night at this hotel and chose it because of its location a short walking distance from the Glucksburg Castle. The hotel has a nice view over the lake and the castle. Our room was on the opposite side from the view (and the traffic), and very quiet. Spacy and adequately equipped, tiled floor all over with no carpets, the bathroom small, but modern and effective, the sink however on the small side.  The combined reception and bar closes at 2200. A substantial breakfast is served at the table, inside or outside. In general, a good place to stay, no great luxury, but great value for its moderate price.

Great value

In the small Town of Glücksburg Close to Flensburg is this hotel with a nice view of the very old castle on the lake. Large balcony to enjoy the afternoon and evening sun. Place is a small typical German Inn with a dozen rooms, above the restaurant. The staff and host are all so very kind and helpful. Rooms recently renovated. Wifi in good order. For the price the best stay ever in Germany!

Very good food mostly local for a reasonable cost. A German breakfast (Cold, so no bacon) with a lot of things included on room price.
The small Town only a few steps away has a good number of shops and also cafés and restaurants. If you have no car good bus Connections to Flensburg. 

The service was really excellant, will for sure come back soon.
