As a family we stayed here in two rooms. The facilities are rustic, the service very friendly. The breakfast buffet was fine. The parking lot is a few meters away, but included in the price. Overall a good night for a cheap price. And located directly across from the basilica.

Rustic hostel in Gößweinstein

Very well located in front of the pilgrimage basilica and in the beautiful old town. Pure Frankish specialities. We ate a top homemade sauce with french fries. The host is really friendly and kind. This is something you rarely find today. The price/performance ratio fits!!! A place I would love to come back to!

Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere!

The whole house smells good, and the rooms smell like that. Since the 1970s, nothing has been renovated or done here. Also, the rooms and the bathroom were dirty. Hair from previous occupants was everywhere. Breakfast went a bit - when you stand on filter coffee and bag tea. In the house at the time of eating, it smelled so unappetizingly like herbs, old fat and cooked meat that we ate somewhere else.

Old dirty rot!

The rooms are spacious, clean and simple. There is plenty of TV and the bed was really pleasant. For the price we did not expect such a generous breakfast. In addition to various types of bread, fresh fruit salad was also provided. The location opposite the basilica is excellent as a starting point for various walks. With the windows closed, you will not be thrown out of bed at 6 o'clock from the first sound. Parking is possible with exceptional permission on the public parking lot located 2 minutes walking distance from the tourist's house. Thanks to the kind and helpful information, we are also happy to return.

Starting point of the journey

The hotel is cozy, the rooms are located in different parts of the house, so everyone has a different view from the window. On the 3rd floor - the view from the roof, on the 2nd floor - to the quiet street. There are disadvantages: very high hearing in all rooms, no faeces, no shower gel, shampoo (instead of this 1 container with a doser). Shower is not comfortable in all rooms (in some there is a temperature drop and this, to be honest, is not very comfortable).

A quiet hotel in the mountains

The rooms are in an extra building and were more than you'd expect for this super price. I had a room of about 30 square meters and my colleague's room was also about 20 square meters, the bathroom was top-of-the-line modern.
