We stayed in Grasbrunn for few nights during our business trip to Munich. Staff speaks limited English but no problems at all. We felt safe and welcomed.
Parking place is available for guests. Take into consideration you have to carry your lug gage upstairs as there is no elevator.Rooms were spacious and cleaned daily but still doesn’t look clean enough due to old linens and bug stains on the walls. Furniture is from middle ages.
Breakfast is ample to start the day.
I'm aware many hotels went downsizing or completely closed due to the economic difficulties after the pandemic but this hotel needs a renovation urgently to survive. The hotel itself has nothing special and price is high for this level of quality.

old hotel from 70s

The room is sufficiently furnished. You just can't remove the curtains and not look more closely at the hygiene and especially the cleanliness (very dusty and there was still garbage next to the bed). Also, there is only open Wi-Fi, which is hardly present in the room. The breakfast was fine, quite small buffet, but it was enough. See little fruit (apples and oranges) and no fresh vegetables. However, the boss was quite nice, but also sarcastic from time to time. Otherwise quite nice staff (some more and some less).

Improved

It's hard to find beds for the wonderful Oktoberfest at this time. Well, here we found the right match between bed and food. Spacious and clean rooms. Quiet village. Very good German cuisine. Breakfast may be a little tight, but I think not all lovers of a beer party in nearby Munich, 20 km away, are interested in the overcooked egg. Although... it still makes sense!

Interesting location

On our way from the north to the south of Europe we spent the night at Hotel Grassbrunner Hof. The rooms were clean and pretty large, the beds and pillows were good, and the bathrooms with showers were clean as well.
No airco but that was fine since that day (night) the outside temp was low.
Also, dinner in the restaurant of the hotel was good with friendly waitresses.

Nice, small, typical German, hotel near Munich

Simple rooms, sufficiently furnished, very clean, relatively spacious, no air conditioning, but no windows to open. The only drawback: the mattresses could really be renovated, they are quite durable and ready, really not for the back-damaged. The breakfast was very good and we lacked nothing. Overall simple, solid, no luxury class, but for the price (we paid 70.-€ for a DZ including breakfast for 2 people!) perfectly fine. If you want more, you have to choose a different price class, I've already got much less for much more money.

Very solid performance for the price

The hotel is very simple in a semi-desert village, but it's only a 20-minute drive from a monk and so very practical. We stayed for 2 nights in a half boarding house and I have to say the quality of the food is excellent. The room was huge. It looked like an apartment and the heating was already running at the end of September.

Simple but pleasant

It's a very poor hotel, it's fine if you only have to sleep... the price is proportional to the service Breakfast very poor and of little variety.

Pension with few claims

Nice visit to Munich with a stopover at this hotel a few minutes from downtown, very comfortable we had dinner and breakfast all good and abundant, spacious rooms clean and with internet, recommended for those who want to visit the city but sleep in peace

It's a great hotel.

The first night, I found a thousand feet in the pillow! My single room was very cold and even though I asked to leave the heater on, this one was turned off every day. So I arrived in the evening and there was frost! Breakfast reduced to the minimum. Wi-Fi only in the restaurant and the rooms was missing. Please don't ask for the bill because it looks like they can't afford it! the front door is always open, never locked, anyone could come in. I'd say that for the price they give and what they offer they could commit more!

Absolutely not

I'll first start that the owners of the hotel are not the friendliest people. But I won't hold it against them. However, I was not a fan of our room. I've attached pictures of mold covering the shower wall. If they don't clean the shower... what else do they not clean? Also, the lights in the room were finicky. One minute the overhead light would work then it would turn off by itself.  Sometimes it wouldn't' work at all. Since there was only one window, we had limited lighting. So if the overhead went out, it would be hard to see. The bathroom light was just as finicky. Attached is a picture of the only light that worked. It seemed like a flashlight. Wi-Fi was horrendous. The only way to get anything was to sit in the restaurant or hallway outside of the restaurant. If you complained, the owners would just shrug. I booked 2 rooms together, but instead they put my family and I on separate levels. My husband ended up getting food poisoning one night. We didn't want to complain because I could not stand another shrug from the owners.  Our server was the only highlight from this. Otherwise, try to avoid at all costs. You won't be disappointed if you do.
