We spent 5 days in Chiemgau and stayed in the fisherman's restaurant in Rottau. We were warmly received by the Senoir chief and the chief. The double rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the sunny evenings on the balcony. The rich breakfast - cereal, fruit, juice, yogurt and marmalade on the small but feasting buffet, snacks and cheese & charcuterie plates on the table, eggs were also offered - was served by the upbeat chef. We found the daily weather reports for the day with anecdotes.

Very friendly host and excellent cuisine

I stayed one night at the Gasthof Fischerstuberl and it certainly exceeded my expectations for the budget price paid. My room was spotlessly clean, and was a modern version of the traditional German guestroom. The furniture was polished and fresh looking. My room was larger than I was expecting, and had a comfortable sitting chair. The bed was also fine for a good night's sleep. There's free parking in the lot in front of the building. Breakfast is reasonably priced, and includes a variety of deli meats, cheeses, an egg, fresh breads, fruit, and other items - well worth your time. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Great Gasthof

Blessed is he who forgets that he is always in a hurry! was the saying on the welcome card where the Check family and their staff greeted the guests. And staying at the fisherman's table also makes the visitors forget the hurry and enjoy the time. Restaurant: Fresh fish and other good food from the region in a restaurant run by the owner with good staff and proper cuisine. Hotel: Quiet location, modern and clean rooms. Careful staff who also provide well-rounded insider excursions. For breakfast there is a current weather tip with weather forecast and erotic barometer; we are on Monday morning news and on weekends and we've been happy to come back!

Owner-run, quiet hotel with very good regional cuisine

The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food is very good, the staff and the owners are very friendly and hospitable, not far from the Chiemsee. We are sure to return, even a little longer, since we were on our way to Austria.

It was a drive-through. I really liked everything. The room with the big TV. There's a balcony with flowers. And it's quiet all around. The friendly staff, free parking, and what landscapes around. The hotel has a very good restaurant.

We've been there a few times to eat fish, and we like to eat fish very much. Well, whoever comes several times is actually satisfied. Yes, I'll write big. As Franks, we say that carp in Franks are better prepared. Yes, but any fish that comes as a miller is really good. Deliciously prepared as I rarely have. So we came back often. That the product is fresh, of course. That the staff is friendly, anyway.

Many years ago, you could eat really good fish here. What is on the menu today is heavily advertised with BIO, but probably only to justify the salted prices. But at the same time, Pangasius is also offered, which is known to be anything but organic. The dishes are unfortunately quite unimaginable. What can you do with Zander, for example. Here he stands panicked and with remouladen sauce on the menu - sad. Whoever searches for Fogosch o.o. is disappointed here. We were here with 4 people and one person had brother's cake, so it was at least on the menu. What was served then was served, rather a potato soup, but there was a lot of food to be served with.
