Decided to stop here for lunch in route from Prague to Frankfurt. Pleasantly surprised with a great meal at a reasonable price and beautiful modern restaurant. Service also very good. I had the schnitzel which was excellent while my wife had turkey escalopes which was also very good.  If you are looking for a place to eat near Gremsdorf this is a great choice. 

Lunch in Gremsdorf

We stopped here on route to Czech Republic as our usual overnight stop was fully booked. Easy to find from the nearby autobahn. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were OK and the restaurant had a wide choice menu. The breakfast was typical of many German hotels and it's reasonable priced. We would certainly stop here again.

Good all round visit

This is on the main road through Gremsdorf; due to a tradeshow in Nuremburg, we were unable to book our usual hotel.

4 of us stayed here for business; btw - they don't take AmEx.  

My room was at the side, but I could still see the road, which is noisy all night long, even with the shutters closed.  All the floors are either tiled, or laminate - more noise.  

The restaurant is good, the food is well priced, and breakfast not bad - though hot food is limited, and not replenished very often.

Will try elsewhere next time.

Quite expensive, noisy rooms

We stayed at Scheubel for the second time. The last time was in December 2015. In only half a year the owners completely revamped the ground floor. This was a good move as the reception and the dining area could use an update. Dinner is very decent. I can advise to try the mixed grill, but also the steak is of good quality. To bad there was only one waitress. Even on a weeknight, when the restaurant is only half full, she was unable to serve everybody in an acceptable timeframe. We were not asked for dessert, so after a while we had to signal here, and ordered a coffee instead. The rooms are ok for a short stay though a little aged. The bed in our room was not to good. It was uncomfortably hard. The pillows are really bad. This could be improved. The provided Wifi is of poor quality. A lot of functionality is blocked (I could not get my VPN access to work as an example)

Good restaurant, rooms could use some spice

We had a one night stay here on our way to the Mosel valley, the hotel wasn't very busy but was very nice. Our room was a good size, very clean with very good bathroom facilities. The resturant food was really good.
