Very friendly staff. Nice leisure facilities for the children. Also nice picnic spots nearby. Room size good, but slightly light-hearted. Food selection okay to good. Overall a relaxing short vacation.

never again bed uncomfortable,television a compliment,breakfast for 3.5 stars bad,9 days the same sausage with few choices.Restaurant closed from the village bad food.Wellness area not far from the house.

The hotel is a little old.The rooms could take a renovation 😏 The shower head in our shower was defective but was repaired within an hour! The food in the HP is ok, there are 3 dishes and salad buffet for dinner. The kids also found something. The staff were very nice and friendly. Around the little Silver Lake there is a lot of children's entertainment and playgrounds with the Highlight Friloland indoor playground, which is free for hotel guests to use. Otherwise the prices are ok. All in all it was a nice vacation.

Great for children's holidays.

My daughter and I had a lot of fun at the Hotel Silbersee and the other facilities on the lake. So we spent seven nights there in April 2017 and booked five more nights for June 2017 straight away. The whole staff, whether from the restaurant or from Friloland are very friendly and hospitable. In Friloland there are great gaming facilities, clean and well maintained, but something has come of age. Furthermore there is a high-rope garden right next door. As well as a swimming pool with a great panoramic sauna running. Also the summer bike path is recommended. We come back again

A great, relaxing short vacation.

I spent a weekend with the family and, except for the cleaning of the rooms (for which I personally thanked the cleaning women), it was a disaster. Eating was ALL bad (Luckily at lunch we were in real restaurants...). The room suitable for families with children had two rooms, but not separated by a door and therefore privacy was equal to zero. But the worst was the exquisite availability of staff. 2 flashing examples. 1 I: Excuse me, would you have an abattoir to read.

Well, the Silbersee Hotel......we have been here over the last 6 years and we've been here every time and I can assure you that the kids can get a good night's sleep in the hotel and the concept of it! To anticipate: solo travelers, business travelers, luxury lovers, party people, gourmets & gourmands, and especially demanding people are not at the right address here. But if you want to have a few relaxing days with your family, you're right here! I can guarantee you that the kids can get a good night's sleep in the train and the concept of a happy night's sleep! The hotel is definitely not in the 80's, but in some places you can definitely get a good night's sleep, but there are some great old days and a good night's sleep, but there are plenty of old days and a good night's sleep, but there are plenty of old days and a good night's sleep, but I think that's all around the city.

A glorious break from everyday life - especially for families

A hotel from the 80's. Those who like rustic will certainly enjoy the hotel. Absolutely recommended for families with children. Breakfast (we had only booked breakfast) could be made more varied. Rooms were very large, bathroom could be larger. Rooms are very bright, but staff are very friendly. Silver Sea is really nice. Nevertheless, nothing is going on in the immediate vicinity, so we went to the nearby cities, like Homberg, Kassel, Fritzlar.

Holidays

A good hotel with friendly staff. Some corners need renovation but are not inhabited. If you value the modern atmosphere, you will not find it here. The furniture is older, but everything seems harmonious and cozy. The hotel is located in a holiday park. It is rather a bit out of the way if you want to walk into the village, you have a good walk. It is recommended to travel by car if you want to take excursions to the area. The Silver Sea is not far away. We have travelled in the vicinity, so everything was very quiet and the excursion opportunities are very limited. Most activities open from March/April. The hotel is best suited for families with children. The hotel has an indoor playground, which is located in the area of Frielo, which is not far away. There is also a nice place to stay in the area of Wellness, which is not very easy to enjoy.
