Wonderful welcome, great spacious room, beautiful gardens, breakfast fit for royalty. What a lovely hotel. They have all the key things you want from a hotel. The room was quiet, had a lovely bathroom, a sofa, arm chair and quality furniture. Place to store bikes and even free apples for the guests. The on site bakery means breakfast is an experience worth relishing. Only thing missing was a kettle. We have booked for Easter next year !

A roaring success !

We hadn't booked, but as soon as we arrived, the manager, who speaks a little French, did everything to make us feel good in his establishment. He arranged to find us a parking space, offered us an over-the-board one (following a break),... Our room was gorgeous with a very good quality of bedding. At the back of the hotel, a Japanese garden with nice rest areas. Side restaurant. A flawless service by a smiling staff. Good products served, a nice country wine offered. And side lunch, a quality buffet.

Super delicious food, nice evening service, good price, good performance ratio, small but fine card with a very varied menu, something for every taste, freshly prepared, cozy garden, quiet atmosphere.

It's delicious, fresh, good

Beautiful hotel that reflects the style of the village, completely new and modern inside with all the comforts. Very courteous and available staff. Clean and bright room. We had a great time together, we will definitely be back!!

Delightful hotel

Nice family-run hotel in a historic building with a nice little garden. The rooms are generous and clean. The furnishings of our room, however, were a little old-fashioned or not quite suitable for the historic building. The breakfast could be a little more luxurious and varied, for 11 euros a nose, I don't want any wrapped sausage and sliced cheese from the supermarket. The baked goods were good.

Family-run hotel in historic old building

10 days spent in the Hotel des Lions with breakfast and 3 course dinner. Large double room with sea view booked. Cleanliness in the room and throughout the hotel and restaurant perfect. Staff and operator Bröcker family very friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty, but it could have been a little more varied in the 10 days. (repetition of the menu) Garden restaurant and the Japanese garden behind the house very beautifully designed. All baked goods for breakfast and the homemade cakes were a pleasure.

Happy Days in the Lion

We love this hotel and been here many times, generous and friendly hospitality (Also in English!), nice clean rooms with all the equipment for kids, and the greatest food and wine.
Convenient access to all Bodensee attractions and hotel also has a private beach and parking 🌷

Perfect stay

During our stay in Hagnau, we have eaten several times in the Garden of the Lion. Those staying in Hagnau should definitely visit this restaurant or the garden inn, it is worth it! Excellent kitchen and a fairy-tale garden with small seating islands and a pond with various kois. We are coming back...

Romantic gardening

We spent a week in the bustling June in the beautiful historic guesthouse Der Löwen - and we enjoyed a very good rest despite the almost already tropical temperatures. Our small seaside suite was tastefully furnished and equipped with an extremely comfortable bed (super cushion!) and comfortable bath. There was no minibar, but for this you could use a refrigerator (free of charge) in the guesthouse. Great also the balconies and, of course, the Japanese garden. We liked the little private beach that the hotel offers very close by. There you can enjoy shady vegetables on convenient beds and free breakfast in the early morning in Zürich.

Well restored in the historic inn

We were in this small village by the lake for the first time and stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Löwen, with an adjacent bakery. The double room with a living room on the first floor had enough space and was impeccably clean. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of bread and fresh Viennese and everything in it. We had chosen the half boarding formula and were very happy with the menus.
