We booked this hotel at short notice, initially for one night. It is located in the heart of the delightful old town of Halberstadt, yet is surrounded by trees and half timbered buildings in a particularly peaceful and idyllic location. There is ample safe and free parking on site. The hotel was built in 1660 and has great character, though the rooms are modern, bright and very comfortable. Access to BBC on the TV was particularly appreciated on election night! The beds were clean and comfortabke, and even with an outside temperature of 27degrees our room was pleasantly cool with both windows open and shade from the trees. Wifi was excellent and uninterrupted.
Breakfast was included in our package which cost €69 per night, and was comprehensive and excellent. We decided to have an evening meal on the terrace, which has comfortable chairs under the trees in front of the hotel. Again this was first clasd and decent value at €33 for two of us.
We have travelled through the eastern half of Germany several timges and stayed in some very nice locations, but Halberstadt is the most delightful place we have yet encountered, and to find such a nice hotel right in the heart of the old town was the icing on the cake. In fact it was so good that we extended our stay by a furthet two nights rather than moving on. 110% recommended.

Outstanding hotel with a perfect location

This hotel is at a nice distance from the racetrack in Oschersleben. I would recommend it to anyone staying at the track for multiple days.
Breakfast is very good. There are several types of juice and tea and coffee as well. There's a bar that offers drinks until very late at night (don't know exactly but they were available at 00:00) and you can stay right at the hotel for dinner too. The hotel has a total of 3 floors including ground level, and there is no elevator. Keep this in mind if you have mobility issues!
Parking is very very limited. I believe the lot directly in front of the hotel offers about 8 or 9 spots, and tiny scooters are permitted to park there as well. Staff will not remove a little bike or scooter from a car spot and you will have to park on the street instead.

The rooms are very clean. I loved the bathroom in every room I've had so far. Very compact but with enough room to comfortably shower. The beds and pillows are not for me. This is obviously very personal and it may work for you, but my pillow was very soft and the mattress quite hard. Maybe that's exactly what you're looking for.

Overall I'd say I had a nice experience once again. Doors have regular locks so you won't have to fiddle with cards that don't work.

Friendly staff and very clean rooms

The hotel is situated in the old historic part of Halberstad and has free parking. Good size rooms with lovely new renovated bathrooms. Good beds and quiet surroundings.
The restaurant serves very good food, has great servise and to a very reasonable price. Only negative  thing about the hotel is the lack of elevator and that the staf only speak German.

Cozy historic hotel with atmosphere

The hotel and room were of beautiful half-timber design, and the room itself was large and clean, with a comfortable bed and hot shower.  We were allowed to check in early and the hotel provided free WiFi.  It's located close to the old town, and just a few minutes walk from the main church and it's wonderful treasury.

I emailed the hotel multiple times for directions from the train station, but did not get a reply.  We ended up walking about 1/2 hour in heavy snow with our bags.  We did see a tram near the train station, but didn't know if it went to the hotel or where to buy a ticket.

We paid 60 euro for a double for a night (we didn't purchase the optional breakfast) and found it to be a good value.

Beautiful hotel close to church and treasury

[Not sure why this small hotel is classified as a b&b/inn, but...] At 45 Euro for a single room, this was the least expensive place I stayed on a recent car trip through Germany; and not bad at all: the room was small, but clean and quiet and came with free wifi (the telephone, however, was out of order; as was the light over the bed). Personnel were young and friendly (or friendly, but young). On a day when the temperature approached 90 (F), drinking and dining in the quiet courtyard out front were much appreciated; dinner and breakfast were both fine. Halberstadt Cathedral, one of Germany's finest, was just a short walk away. But while the rest of the seriously war-damaged town has been spruced up about as much as is possible, the restored half-timber buildings are still greatly outnumbered by uninspired buildings from the GDR era, or just open spaces. So Halberstadt is certainly worth a stop, but seems destined to remain overshadowed as a foreign-tourist destination by nearby Quedlinburg and Wernigerode. But when in Halberstadt, I would certainly recommend Halberstadter Hof.
