Very basic Inn that has a very high humidity rate inside its facilities. Friendly and flexible staff (speaks fluent English) and good price, however value can be questioned. A rather practical choice for overnight stay close to the highway if you are not sensitive to high humidity levels.

Moist and humid 

A good hotel in a lovely position by the river and ample parking, only a short distance by car from Hann. Munden a beautiful old town by the river.  Warm welcome from the owner who spoke excellent English.  Clean room with view to the river very quiet.  A kettle provided, a first for us in Germany!  Lovely breakfast, the lightest croissants ever.

Ideal for overnight stay

The first port of call on our 2 week roadtrip from Denmark was this nice little place. Snuggled in a lovely valley next to a river, just 10 mins from the autobahn, we were off to a good start. We got a large spacious clean room, new bathroom, wifi, 2 tv's, and a view. Ate a large tasty evening meal, and slept like a log. Good breakfast, very friendly people running the place. Their cosy camping ground re-opens next year, after modifications. Be aware that check-in is from 16.00. Right, off to Austria now. THANKS GUYS.

Picturesque stop-over

We were looking for a convenient place for an overnight stop between Dunkirk and Leipzig and I selected this hotel as it was convenient for the motorway and in an area we had not visited before. It is run by a friendly dutch couple and Nikko speaks brilliant English.
Our good size room was very simply furnished but both it and the shower-room were spotlessly clean and the bed proved very comfortable. The room was quiet and overlooked the Werra. We had a tasty and reasonably priced dinner in the "bar" and a good German breakfast served at your table (not buffet style) in the breakfastroom next morning before setting out to explore Hann Munden (a real gem of a town where the rivers meet).
Nikko and his wife seem to run this more or less single handed so the hotel is closed in the afternoon until 4pm. The bar shuts at 21.30 but you have a night key if you want to stay out later.
This is a great value hotel in a lovely spot, off the usual tourist routes, with a genial host, clean rooms and a pleasant atmosphere. We would definitely return if in the area.

Simple, friendly hotel

The host Nikko made our visit a great experience. The western style salon, was charming and made us feel right at home.
The rooms are huge, but might miss a bit of a personal touch. The area seems great for hiking.
