I enjoyed being immersed in Bavarian culture during my recent business trip to Munich. Hotel Forstwirt provided the usual modern amenities in a traditional Bavarian setting. The rooms were clean, the service great, the breakfast awesome, and the restaurant/bar just what you need after a long day's work. The beds are a bit on the smaller side, and for whatever reason my room was very warm even with the radiator off. Still slept very well with windows tilted open. One negative was that the main road was closed for construction, which meant a couple miles detour each morning, but otherwise I enjoyed my visit very much and would stay there again any time.

Bavarian Immersion

They have a nice  restaurant.
We could enjoy dinner and morning.
And the style of restaurant were traditional.
And the style of room were traditional.
They are now making the guard for noise.
So it would be quiet.


I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. Friendly people. Good food.Clean Hotel. Not to far from the show by Taxi. Only poor thing was the wifi this was poor. They could do with an upgrade for this. I hope they do.

Visit to Hotel for the Bauma Show

BAUMA 2019 - Great Country Inn. Perfectly typical German. The restaurant was exactly what you want from a Country gasthaus. Rooms clean, basic. Hotel staff outstanding. We were there for the annual BAUMA Construction show at the Munich Messe. Great get away from the city to the Country but still close enough as to be not too far!

BAUMA Visit 2019

Extremely friendly staff with excellent English. The hotel is a little dated in comparison to modern hotels but clean and comfortable. The Wifi is unfortunately intermittent and slow and there are no further facilities. The food in the restaurant is excellent (especially the duck) and both hotel and restaurant have a friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, the walls are very thin and my neighbor left his TV on all night (clearly audible). The washing machine in the basement vibrates throughout the house and was turned on at 4.15am and as much as I like the smell of bacon, it's not so good to smell it at 5am throughout the hotel. 

Friendly, very good food, but not as quiet as expected.

Disappointing, nothing was really bad, but everything was a little bit broken. There was no functional Internet access (and no 3G/4G). The bed was rather spartan. The plumbing was noisy. There was no shower gel/shampoo in my room and there was some industrial noise like a generator that made the room vibrate at 6:45 in the morning. I wouldn’t stay at this place again sadly. The staff were lovely though - I wish the other things were fixed as I believe the owners really want people to have a positive experience. Food was lovely too.

Nice place, lovely staff, let down by details.

In the middle of a huge forest and near a golfclub. We stayed two nights and took a suite, very comfortable beds and... pillows; it was great; very cosy and excellent restaurant, very efficient staff; managed by a very friendly Bavarian family. Highly recommended.
