We stayed for three night. We were on the 3rd floor,  big room with castle view but there was no elevator in the hotel. We arrived at lunch time on Sunday, the restaurant at the 1st floor were full of people, we had the lunch there, the food was good. We went to Hohenzollern Castle at afternoon the 1st day we arrived. The 2nd day we went to Lichtenstein castle and Tubingen, the last day we went to Outletcity Metzingen. The location of hotel is good for poeple drive, parking is free and plenty of space. The breakfast was good also.

We had a nice big room, unfortunately it did not have a view of the castle, but when we stayed it was foggy. I bet when the weather is good, this hotel has a great view. Plenty of parking, good breakfast, they even made us eggs. We stayed on a Tuesday so can not say how there dinner is, friendly inn keeepers.

Great hotel,, a bit off the beaten path, in good weather great view of the castle.

We loved Gasthof-Hotel-Löwen. Our room offered a wonderful view of the gorgeous castle, Burg Hohenzollern. The food was as good as others have said. 
An unexpected surprise was the discovery of the Roman Open Air Museum. Be sure to check it out. 
On the night the restaurant was closed at the Hotel we found a great restaurant in town, Poseidon Zollerblick. The food was fantastic, priced very reasonably. Service and atmosphere were very good as well.

The Inn with a view, Wonderful Restaurant

We stayed over a night before visiting the castle and it was an excellent decision. The rooms were big and clean and with a view to the castle. We ate in the restaurant and it was excellent -lots of locals which is a great recommendation and  everything was very very tasty (and lots of it!) Breakfast was plentiful and we were made to feel very welcome.

Excellent stay, great food and clean big rooms

Stayed one night, and while we didn't spend a great deal of time in our rooms, the hotel was very nice.  Reasonably priced, clean, large rooms, free/fast wifi, good beds and a quiet location.  A really nice base for our exploration of the area.  Friendly staff!

Great base location for Hohenzollern

The hotel really isn't near anything but has great views of the castle. It was clean with a very large room with a balcony. If you are visiting the castle it is a great place to stay. We didn't eat dinner at the restaurant, we were kind of put off when we checked in as it seemed like a locals only place. Thinking back we should of eaten there but we were unsure at the time. The breakfast was really good.
