Very well located, at the old town, near to the best Heidelberg attractions. The rooms are very comfortable, and the breakfast reminds you of a family breakfast. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help us, the reason to consider it as a “family hotel”. A place to consider in a future trip to Heidelberg. 

Family hotel

Small hotel sympa after dropping off luggage heading to a nearby parking lot (P12) located on the outskirts of the old town so everything can be visited on foot, the decoration is refined, a proper lunch (no buffet), only a large bemool no elevator and the stairs are steep.

Charming

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night on our way to Austria and it was in a perfect town centre location opposite Heidelberg’s old bridge. We parked our car overnight at the Parkhaus Kornmarkt/Schloss P12 which was within easy walking distance of the hotel as we guessed that trying to drive straight to the hotel to drop off our luggage during peak afternoon tourist times would be a nightmare and we were right. The check-out receptionist provided a discount ticket for parking which ended up only costing €10 instead of the normal €17.50. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the busy Steingasse so there was no view to speak of, but it was a large clean room with comfortable bed and although the decor was dated it kind of fitted in with the ambience of this old building and ancient Heidelberg itself. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to this beautiful town.

The hotel is located in a pedestrian area. There are no opaque curtains, no blinds in the windows. There are no air conditioning, there are a few ventilators and a hair dryer. Very friendly Plan. Parking lot. Maximum height, 2° floor. It is well suited for breakfast at 7€ Rooms Amplified, clean and comfortable. With details such as soap and welcome set. Minibar with drink. There are no opaque curtains, no blinds in the windows. There are no air conditioning, there are a few ventilators and a hair dryer. Very friendly Plan. Very friendly parking lot. According to P12, 10€/day WiFi signal does not reach the 2° floor. The reception is not available 24 hours, the hotel is available to the entrance, the English entrance is available to the Dentro. There are no blinds in the windows. There is no air conditioning, there are a few ventilators and a hair dryer.

The standard double is a tiny room with one window. Nothing decorative in the room and furniture is chipped and tired. Only redeeming factor is the location. It’s right on the river next to the bridge. Within walking distance to all sights. Staff was helpful.

There are better options.

Stayed for 1 night on our way to Innsbruck. Standard room, mattress awful and noisy, definitely needs an upgrade. This could be a lovely hotel, however I wonder if they are relying too much on their location. Will not be coming back!

Great location, rooms need upgrading

We took our first dog trip to Heidelberg and searched for a hotel where dogs are allowed. The Golden Hecht welcomed us very kindly and gave us a nice room overlooking the Old Bridge over the Neckar and the Bridge Monkey (No. 22). The location of the hotel is ideal to get to know the city, as it is very central. We were very satisfied and will definitely return to this hotel on our next visit to Heidelberg!

Located downtown, and the dog is welcome too!

The place of the hotel. the staff en the room was very good, the breakfast was little because of christmas days, no problem for that money we paid.
Restaurant was closed because of christmas, Heidelberg has more so no problem.
The hotel is on the place to be in Heidelberg near the old bridge and his river the Neckar.

Nice place

The location is 1a, but it's unfavorable to drive in, because you have to use a five-minute car park. The rooms are simple, there's a bit of a lack of charm here.

Great location, OK for the price.

Located literally across from the Bridge "monkey".  Stepping out of the Hotel you're in the midst of everything.  The service at the front desk was friendly and helpful.  The room was surprisingly large and clean, with a drop dead view of the Bridge towers.  We had windows to the street on the other side.  Yet a peaceful sleep with no noise.  Highly recommend.  There are some stairs however, and no elevator.
