Rooms are very small, some are not very clean, there is no parking space in the hotel area. You have to use an outdoor car park. All in all, the hotel is like Heidelberg itself. Charming but also a little smuddy breakfast, served in the 4 seasons around the corner, but was underground.

The place is fine by now, the hotel rooms are more semi-detached.

Unfortunately, I can't give you 0 stars... the patties looked like sliced maccheroni and the dark sauce was an exotic finished mixture.

That's terrible food.

The beer garden is shabby and does not invite you to stay. We ordered the Cordon Bleu and Schnitzel. The Schnitzel were super dry, so every bite had to be flushed down with a sip of the drink. The Schnitzel and The Cordon Bleu were certainly not freshly prepared, if not even finished. The salad sauce tasted like nothing and was, by definition, a finished sauce. The beer was freshly juiced and good.

Dirty and bad food

The establishment "Hotel Schnookeloch ***" is not a hotel, It is something like B&B.
There is no Lobby, no reception, no housekeeping even not a dinning breakfast room.
For getting a key, you go to another Hotel, The same is to get the breakfast.
You have a telephone in the room, but there is no and way to call anybody in the establishment. 
There is no lift and the staircase in the establishment is not strait, it is a spiral staircase so, climbing to the room with a suitcase can be tricky and dangerous.
The room itself was so small, it was like a single room that a bed was added

Decent hotel in a superb position

Food: The chef isn't in love. You're a cheese patty fad, the saumag fad. The service is overwhelming but friendly. Reservation didn't work, but luckily we were there early enough.

It's a lovely place.

In the 90's we were there and our children were small.  Last week they returned as adults  and face-timed us to share the atmosphere.  They felt the meal  was the best meal  that they had all week.    And as we remembered, everyone was so friendly.

Great location on the Neckar Bridge in the middle of the action, but that's not to recommend it on the weekend unless you need no sleep. All the drunken young people are marching loudly under our window. Then in the morning, street cleaning and garbage disposal. The room was okay, nice bathroom. WiFi almost didn't go, no mirror in the room only in the bathroom. The historic restaurant downstairs is really neat and shows the history of student connections. Very nice staff there. Reception and tasty breakfast are in the nearby hotel 4 seasons. There were no parking spaces, parking lot at least 500m away, 12.50€ a day.

Well, I'm not.

The room was properly furnished for a weekend. Everything was on the street, because I would have expected light-tight curtains, so the street lighting at night was already unusually bright. Unfortunately, the cleanliness in the bathroom made it desirable, the thick dust layer on the flea closure and some stains were actually not to be overlooked.

It's a great place, but not a hotel.

Great selection of drinks, nice service, pleasant atmosphere, prices are fine, clean sanitation. The place is worth a visit. The location is good, right on the Neckar Bridge. I can't rate the hotel because I was just in the place,
