The Hotel Peterhof is a 3-star Garni hotel in the heart of Dietenheim. The room (No. 17) I lived in did not leave any wishes open for me. Tip top clean and I found it cozy! The breakfast was totally ok, the staff super friendly and helpful. Should I have something to do in Dietenheim again, the Peterhof is my first point of contact, in the hope that I will get a room there!! On this way, again a cheerful thank you for the very pleasant time.

I felt very well.

We stayed here en route to the Maratona dles Dolomites. The hotel is easy to find in the town centre. The rooms are immaculately clean & the wifi works well. There's also an excellent bar & restaurant across the road where we had some good beer & very good burgers. I'd definitely stay here again when next heading for the Dolomites.

Excellent stopover

Highly recommended. Good location, parking spaces right in front of the house. New room furnishings, bathroom also new quality. Free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception service, even later arrival possible. Staff very friendly. Ideal accommodation for a business trip. Good price ratio.

- A fairly new garnish hotel, which - thanks to its proximity to Ulm - is affordable for business and short trips and also scores at moderate prices. Cleanliness is greatly appreciated. The owner-managed house offers a small but perfect breakfast buffet.

Ideal for business and short trips

I was very kindly received here. The house is clean, the rooms are spacious and beautifully dark. I have heard absolutely nothing from other guests. The breakfast was just delicious. The price is absolutely reasonable.

A nice little house with friendly service

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for two nights to attend a friend's wedding in a nearby village.  We made our reservation and all arrangements by email.

We were travelling by public transport and the hotel owner personally collected us from the nearest railway station (in Illertissen) and drove us to the hotel.  She didn't speak much English, and we don't speak much German, but she was friendly and we had a phrase book, so somehow it all worked out OK!

We had been slightly apprehensive about the hotel because the price seemed very low (approx. what you might pay for a dodgy B+B in the UK).  Well, we needn't have worried.  The hotel is either brand new or just refurbished.  Our room was very spacious, with a wooden floor, a little private balcony, and lots of windows.  All the windows had automatic metal shutters on them, as well, which were invaluable during July's heatwave.  The bed was massive, and in good German style there were two covers to avoid any duvet-snatching problems!  The room had a telephone (I made two calls to my friend's mobile, and the charge was very reasonable), a little fridge, and a big TV.  The bathroom was big and light too, and although there was no bathtub, the shower was excellent.

We arrived early, and the room was still being cleaned, but we were able to leave our suitcases there and sit outside with a drink.  In fact, it was so hot that a member of staff kindly invited us to sit in her private garden, behind the hotel, which was in the shade.  When we returned to our room, it was spotless.

The hotel owner basically acted as a free taxi service for us, driving us to see our friends that evening, and to the wedding the next day.  (She didn't collect us, though, which was fair enough as we were back late both evenings.)  She also drove us to the train station when we left.

The only thing I can't vouch for is the breakfast, which we missed both days (oops!), but I can tell you that it was served in a very nice room on the ground floor, with an outside terrace as well.

The same people also own the nearby pub, which was very popular with the locals (but not at all noisy, don't worry - the only noise in the area is the church bells) and served quite good food.

Sorry, no photos - but the pictures on the hotel's website are totally honest.  All in all, I thoroughly recommend staying here if you have reason to visit the area.
