We booked in here at the last minute in July to escape a flooded tent. We worried on booking that it seemed too good to be true at a very good price but there was no catch. It was very friendly, clean and our inter-connected family room, big enough for a family of 5 with huge comfortable beds was a joy. The location is wonderful, deep in the woods like the setting of a fairytale, with the mountain stream cascading down the hill outside. The food is hearty, authentic for the area and the breakfast especially was great. The region is beautiful and we had a very restful two days in the Herz mountains. The highlight for us was getting the hotel swimming pool to ourselves for a whole morning (while all the other guests were out hiking I guess!). The kids has a fantastic time, and so did we.
