The one advantage of this site is that you can turn up after the reception is closed, pitch up anywhere and pay in the morning. But when you come to pay it is expensive and they charge you for electricity. This is knowingly deceitful. They know you couldn't plug in and get electricity but they still charge you for it. Also you have to pay cash - 'sorry we are having a problem with the internet'. So I don't like their attitude and I believe they are far too expensive for what they provide

Expensive and deceitful

After leaving the ferry at Rotterdam we chose  this site as perfect a stop over on our way to Austria  . Although we arrived after  7pm  we did try phoning numerous time to say we would be late but no answer , a letter was left on the reception door to show where we had to park up . We really did not have a clue where to go because it was dark and we needed water to fill up as we were empty . After half an hour looking for a water station that had not had its tap removed we finally found one by the toilets so we could fill up with water . We parked up and got plugged in . All had a good nights sleep and the site served its purpose .Had a walk by the lake and the grandchildren played on the play area . 
Used the shower block which is new and clean 
Never saw any staff so can not comment on them like other reviewers have had problems .
We had somewhere to stay night and pre paid that’s all we were bothered about 
The Motor Home service point was closed which we noticed in the day light and all taps removed so lucky we found one by the toilet .
There was somewhere for emptying our toilet and put our rubbish .
It looks like locals have annual sites here so a wide selection of make shift outfits 
There are some pods if you don’t have your own MH or caravan 
There is a restaurant /pub on site which we did not go into but looked nice 
Site is a very natural setting 

Stop off on our way to Austria 

From google and trip advisor reviews i was expecting a poor customer service however this was not the case. The staff were really pleasant and accommodating. They even gave me some free dog food which was nice. The toilet block is large, new and clean. The one night camper area is a next to a park on site which worked well with the kids. You can pick where you pitch up. There was lots of flies at night and some mosquitos being next to a lake. There was people swimming in the lake but we didn't as we arrived late. The price was €46 for a camper, 2 adults a teenager, child and dog with electric.  There is a pub/ restaurant onsite too.  A good stop over site.

One night stop over

Checked in for one night and extended our stay to three. We were there off peak so we were given a choice of areas, and had plenty of space around us. The site is in a pleasant, treed environment and the amenities are modern and spotless. The lady who checked us in gave us information and local maps which were very useful. It’s a 5 minute walk to the bus stop that takes you to the lovely town of Ingolstadt (about 15 minutes). We also spent a day in Munich from here. There is an express train that only costs €16 return, provided you don’t catch the outward bound one before 9am. You can buy the ticket at the Tourist Information Centre in Ingolstadt; the staff member there was very helpful. Just outside the site, there is a restaurant and beer garden that offers homely pub grub at reasonable prices. An added bonus, is the fact that you can take the pathway round the adjacent lake to a shopping area, (about 1 kilometre), that has a supermarket. We enjoyed our stay here. 

Very pleasant stay

So, nothing wrong with the lake. There’s pretty trees, the city’s close by. The bathrooms are nice, the tiny cabins are nice the only problem was just the introduction.
And oh god what an introduction! The staff was nothing but rude, and if it were it would be unhelpful, condescending - one might even go as far as sassy. And then once again, cause it beats repeating: rude.
Rolling their eyes at every question and responding to casual smiles with nothing but a scorn (okay, this might be slightly exaggerated but I’m sitting here in my very lovely little barrel house unable to properly enjoy it cause I’m planning my revenge against these people (I’m not please don’t worry))
In short, would not recommend

The lake is pretty, the service is not

My daughter, her husband and 3 children had pre-booked this site at a cost of £54. They arrived last Saturday evening and were told the site was full. After showing them the e mailed booking confirmation they were rudely told to leave the site. For safety reasons they got back on the autobahn & spent a noisy night at a service station.The Caravan & Motorhome Club have taken this seriously and given an immediate refund.
Our advice - NEVER BOOK THIS SITE

PAID IN ADVANCE - TURNED AWAY!!!!!!

During check in, we meet the personal which was quite direct, without being friendly, helpful ore even want to listen to our requests. 
It was not possible to chose a field, we just had to follow a guy on a bike and he found a spot for us. Even how to park your wagon was not up for us to chose. The door had to turn to the east. 
The place we would have liked to stay on. was not even used the 3 days we were staying there. 
We saw other campers which was required to hold so close to the next wagon, so it was not possible to set up their tent. 
In general Azur Camping are a nice place, just close to the lake, but just a shame that the service are missing. 
Even the price is on the high end, compared to other places we have been on and there the service was a lot better.

Not a place I would chose again. 



Camping

The room was small but very decent, located on a camping site. You share toilet and showers with the other guests. The toilets and showers where nice and clean. I always prefer the showers to have a strong jet of water and a temperature that can both be hot and stays stable. No disappointments here.

There is no wifi available. The camping has a small store with decent prices and a restaurant and club are located down the road at walking distance.

We slept with the windows closed and did not hear the music from the club. Other guests who stayed in the same location did however. 

Ingolstadt is a very nice and historic city worth a visit. Munchen can be reached in 30 min by car.
