Eat the woodcutter's steak.:-) This elaborate, decorated minuetsteak is so dead fried that my shoe soles would go through like maschmellows. On immediate complaint and return, I found this allegedly 200g steak (it didn't have 80g) then unfrozen on the bill. Only after unfriendly discussion did they abandon me. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to spend a lot of money on beautifully decorated, uneditable food.

It's incredible.

We were five couples, and everyone loved the hotel. We couldn't understand the partially negative reviews at all. We were very satisfied with the rooms, the food, the whole service. Everything was great. When we were back in the area we would like to come back. It's a great hotel for cyclists. You can take a break and move on to the next day.

Annual meetings

They wanted to book a table by phone at 7:50 p.m. They were rejected because it was booked. Then at about 8:15 p.m. when we drove by to eat at the restaurant next door, we had to find that all but two tables were not occupied! I thought the restaurant industry had suffered so much from Covid? Apparently no sales are not asked! Thomas Neuhoff

No service

We were there as bicycle tourists and absolutely satisfied. Very friendly staff, a super quiet hotel in the middle of the woods. Breakfast was adequate, dinner until eight, unfortunately the restaurant closed then. It would be nice if there was still a place for bicycles to stay.

We 'd like to recommend the hotel.

One week before our stay, we were already in the restaurant, Forelle 1a. Now there was another stay. Room 3 is recommended, the restaurant and the location round off the experience. Ice legs and beefcake are also at the top. The rooms are a little bright, but for that you can sleep at night with the windows open, heavenly. You always have to be oriented to what you can expect and or expect.

Hotel and restaurant, everything is fine.

On my bike tour from Berlin to Leipzig, I had a cheap hostel on the route, and I looked for it and found it just outside the Dübner Heide on the edge of the forest. After Oxenkopf, you come across a small road about six kilometers behind the Bergwitzsee and immediately afterwards the forest begins. It's pretty quiet to recommend a very relaxed weekend, with endless walks in the forest etc. I arrived after a 120 km tour, very kindly checked in, my bike was locked in a barely safe area next door. Then I was able to look for a quiet room and change myself very positively. This was a single room, had a large, straight bed for two and a very comfortable room. The extra early morning had me and I was able to get a quick snack after 21 o'clock, and I was not able to get out of the room immediately.

It has exceeded my expectations.

But whoever comes in here to eat should bring a lot of time, because over 45 minutes of waiting, despite the half-hour dining room, that's not possible. What does the kitchen do when the dining room is full? But that wasn't the worst thing. Unfortunately, unfortunately, if, unfortunately, the ambiance of the dining rooms is getting different slices of pasta everywhere, there was nothing to eat, so the information of my companions. But if there was something special, then I didn't let go.

It looks like a great house, but there's some serious food shortages.

It was a pleasant stay in a typical German hotel hidden in the forest situated about 50 km from Leipzig. The staff was nice and buffet breakfast was very delicious. The environment is pleasant. You can stroll and enjoy the countryside. The only disadvantage was that the refrigerator and the bar in the room was out of order.

In the Forest

Through a travel platform we booked a double room and a single room with breakfast. The hotel makes a good impression from the outside. It is very idyllic in the middle of the deep heath. The reception at the reception was very friendly. We were told that on the second day of Christmas there will be no breakfast but only brunch. Since we refused the brunch, it was possible to have breakfast the next morning. The rooms were clean and easily furnished with binoculars. Unfortunately only with small, very high windows without rollouts. The bathroom was modernised, with a fine day shift. Unfortunately for mobile phones we would have to pay 3 euros per day. For one night, o'k.

There's a lot more to it than that.

Our room was very small, the windows were small and so high that it was hard to get close. The bathroom was not heated, the soap was empty, the bathtub was empty, and there was no shower curtain, so the hose sprayed in all directions. But everything was clean. Not like the restaurant's tablecloths. Breakfast was simple but okay.
