With a recommendation from the Tannenhof we were surprised that relatively few guests were here for Saturday night. The menu was quite small, which is not bad at all, the food tasted very, very good! The sauce for the game was to be sautéed to the plate (which of course I did not do). The meat was super fine and on point, just like my wife's duck. Here I would go to eat again and again, even the prices are fine.

Surprisingly good culinary

The hotel has clearly come of age. In the rooms you feel like in your grandparents' bedroom. Partly there was an unpleasant smell in the rooms (possibly smoking rooms). The bathrooms are very narrow. The TV has no decent image (just pixelated). The breakfast was spartan. Marmalade, butter, Nutella were all offered in small plastic packages. Partly the shelf life date had already expired 2 months. The entire hotel and restaurant was completed with nipples.

Failure to understand the evaluations

Absolutely NOT to recommend. The food was really not good, but if the service had at least voted. But neither was this. Very unfriendly and unflexible service. The place had already gone very old. So it wasn't comfortable there. In conclusion: keep driving and don't stop there!

Absolutely not recommended

I've been able to stay at this hotel several times, and after a hard day's work I've found rest and relaxation. The rooms are always very clean and well maintained. All my wishes and needs are met immediately. The owner and other staff are very polite. Breakfast at the buffet is rich and healthy so no wishes remain open. Once I work in the beautiful Westerwald, I'll be very happy to book this hotel.

I 'd like to go back

For two days, we needed a place to stay, so the cornfield yard was right. Clean room to the courtyard, because it's not too loud from the nearby driveway. The beds were good. The bathroom was a little 80s chic, but it was neat. The breakfast was good, but it was pretty clear. Well, no comparison with big hotel chains, but it was the most important thing there and everything was fresh. For my taste, it was a little too much decoration, but it may be... a total of 4 points, no luxury hotel, but everything was fine and definitely worth a night's sleep.

Ordinary hostel

I happened to find the cornfield yard on my way through. The hotel is very nice and clean. The entrance and dining area is a little too rustic/bender for me personally, but taste is known to be in the eye of the beholder. The room itself - I thought it was one of the larger ones - I found excellent. With a seating area (sofa/couch), a top in the newly renovated large bathroom. Everything is 1a clean. A small discount in the B-note gets the bed (matraze or rost), which was too soft for me. I had a room in the inner courtyard, sleeping with an open window.

It's a nice coincidence.

We had booked a single night on our way through Europe. Once found (booking.com had wrong address) we arrived at a quaint what I would describe as a typical German family hotel, steeped in history and ornaments, very cosy and cute ;-) 

Large rooms and great food would be main highlight.

We had both dinner and Breakfast, basically there is noting else in town the but we didn't mind as it was just for the night and the food was great.

The room was perfect for us, it was large and with a small room "attached" perfect for our daughter. All very lovely and clean though the mattress was very soft for my liking (but that is a personal thing)

It did definitely help that I can read/speak a little German as there really was not other choice and ordering dinner would have been very interesting otherwise ;-)
