The hotel is located 5 minutes from the village centre. The hotel has a large car park. The rooms are clean and well occupied. The breakfast is good with a good choice. The hotel has a café and a terrace. On weekends, there is often a good atmosphere. The staff is very pleasant.

A family hotel with a certain flair

Within 5 minutes of checking in, we returned to the reception area to complain. It was closed. We were not able to locate any staff in the hotel.
 
We complained to Hotels.com. We had to wait for approximately 3 hours for the hotelier to provide an answer to enquiries made directly by staff at Hotels.com
 
We found a phone number on a board in the foyer and called the hotelier at about 7.30 p.m. She refused to continue our conversation because her dinner was going cold. She said she would return to the hotel at 9.00 p.m. She refused to tell us where we could leave the key when we told her we were not staying. She said no other hotels in the area had air conditioning, that her price was good, and it included breakfast and parking. She refused to accept that the hotel was listed with air conditioning in each of the room and said the restaurant downstairs had air conditioning.
 
In the end, Hotels.com relocated us to a very nice air-conditioned hotel after the hotelier failed to respond to them.
 
The room was hot even with the window open. It did not have an insect screen and it was above a noisy street with children playing and screeching below.
 
The hotelier was not helpful and failed to appreciate that we also wanted to have our dinner and settle into suitable accommodation at a reasonable hour. Finally, we checked into our new hotel shortly before 10.00 p.m.

The rooms are NOT air conditioned, so we did not stay.

A rather simple accommodation, but you have everything you need. Besides, it is very clean. The hostess is super friendly and gave us some very good tips for day trips. In the small but quiet beer/wine garden, you can relax superbly and at (in my opinion) super priced, drinking one or another regional wine comfortably. The equipment has gotten a bit old, but it doesn't bother you. In the morning the breakfast is plentiful and very well organized.

Grounded

After a long day on the bike we found the country guesthouse Zur Kupferkanne. Because it's in a very quiet street and from the street I had the impression that there was no outdoor area. But that's a lie. There's a nice beer/wine garden with many tables. Once through the building and you're already standing in a small yard, here are three tables. I thought a little bit better. But just walk through to the end. There's a small staircase and you'll find many tables. We ordered a cheap white wine. And it was really delicious. I ordered the oven potato with salmon and my accompaniment a Mediterranean vegetable set. But the oven potatoes are very convenient for the smallest farmer. But I never had a huge portion of vegetable in there, and then we'd have to pay for it. And then we'd have to make a glass of wine with the next 7,50 euros. And then we'd really have to put it on the floor, and then we'd have to put it on the floor, and then we'd have to put it on the floor, and

Cozy vineyards, delicious food, super nice service

The copper can is a ground-level country guesthouse located in the centre of the village. A renovation could not in principle harm, but the sanitary facilities are very good (shower with cabin, spacious bath with daylight) and everything is very clean! The breakfast included in the price is excellent and provides a good basis for the day. The reception and service are always friendly!

Ground-based accommodation

We were with four couples in Kobern Gondorf in the country guesthouse at the copper can and can only report good. The reception by the hostess was very cordial, we felt welcome at once. The rooms were decorated appropriately. There was nothing lacking. The beds were comfortable, the room and bathroom were comfortable and clean. The breakfast and the related service was very good. There was a very rich offer of cut and cheese, freshly cooked eggs and various marmalades. In addition to fresh fruit juice, coffee and tea, cereal and fruit. This house is highly recommended and we would like to come back again.

Have a nice weekend at the Moselle.

After a friendly welcome, we moved into our room. The room was absolutely clean, the furnishings are years old. The room was quite bright, which can be a bit of a nuisance for a little louder guests. The breakfast was enough, and we would have liked an alternative to the baked bread. Likewise, some fresh fruit would have been very nice. There were enough parking spaces. Overall, ok.

Having stayed many times in various smaller hotels and apartments along the Mosel our experience of this hotel was a very positive one . Considering the reasonable price and convenient location in walking distance to the main square, trains and Mosel, fairly private parking, a lovely 'beer' garden, which is nice for breakfast too, I would return to the Kupferkanne. The rooms are traditional but all was clean with a well functioning bathroom and the typical German breakfast was varied and plentiful.
The staff couldn't be more helpful, each morning ask whether we have further wishes for breakfast, discussed the best walking routes, lent us a rucksack and maps, brought more water to the room etc .  I can only recommend this place  ( who would expect a lift in a 'Landgasthaus'?

I enjoyed staying at the Kupferkanne

The Copper Can is a simple guesthouse offering decent and clean rooms, a quiet location, friendly service and a pleasant breakfast, a good starting point for exploring the beautiful Moselle landscape.

Solid and calm

After reading rave reviews about this place we were very disappointed. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. She toldv us we had got the honeymoon suite, it was dreadful, the furnishings were nice but the bed was very uncomfortable and less than 2 foot from the floor so the only way you could get out was to roll out onto the floor. The staircase was spiral and very difficult to climb as there was no lift. We were told the breakfast would be really good, it was the poorest breakfast we had out of the 12 hotels we stayed in on this trip. The owner said you will be back but we certainly won't!!!!
