An outdated hotel, unmaintained, restaurant closed due to lack of staff, street horribly noisy, no ventilation, lack of staff, low-end breakfasts, kitsch rooms, not renovated for decades.

to avoid it at all costs

I came to the hotel over the years, with a host who greeted me very unfriendly. The single room was furnished with old furniture, the colors fading and repelling. As a roommate I had an insect, see picture. Very animal-friendly, the domestic dog, a brown labrador had free access to the restaurant kitchen. The breakfast was rich, unfortunately with backbreads only average, and not prepared, but 10 minutes late. All in all, not recommending, hospitality goes differently.

The good years are over

The hotel is really beautiful! The rooms are beautifully decorated, you have everything you need, it is in good condition and has a good size. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there is also room cleaning. The buffet is attractive, diverse and very tasty. The dining room is beautifully large and inviting. There is also a swimming pool with hostel that you can use in the summer.

It's a great hotel.

The hostel is noticeably old. The rooms are clean, but very old. The dinner is really very good, the waitress is very friendly. The breakfast is solid, but not very bright. The host is cool, short-bound, has no sparkle of warmth. It seemed as if we guests would disturb him after the Corona lockdown. The place Kressbronn is beautiful, the hotel is centrally located... certainly not the number one on the site, but this could be compensated with hospitality and a little more joy.

Okay, that's all.

We had booked three double rooms and one single room for one night. One double room was supposed to be quiet, unfortunately not when we arrived. After looking around the room and asking for a quiet alternative, the boss snappyly replied: the windows are double glazed! However, we were able to move to the back with an extra fee of 10 euros. Our son's room card was still defective, so he and his girlfriend didn't come into the room at night and the boss had to ring out. After that, the oven was out and our son was treated unkindly or ignored until we left. That we continued after breakfast.

Hospitality leaves you wanting the boss to change jobs.

- hotel entrance in the back corner over old sofas very loose - around the house - first bad impression moves on - rooms with worn furniture, urgently needed renovation - carpet in the room - throughout the house and room smelled of kitchen, because the door to the kitchen is open - now in summer the rooms are warm and noisy. Because of the street noise you can't leave the window open, even despite zone 30. air turbulence in the room is very loud and therefore not necessary - rooms are ringing - answer very unhealthy boss after we had asked a friend for another room to the back: book not just a short but 10 nights and not so on time, then knock with a better one.

Hospitality Not Understood

It seems our stays at the Hotel Krone get better each year. We had a sudden and unexpected hardship while guests at the hotel and were very happy to be able to count on the owner and staff to help out in every way. A heartfelt Thank You to all, you went out of your way to be there for us! I cannot stress enough how much everything you did was appreciated .

Consistently satisfied

Very nice establishment! tastefully renovated, very accessible parking and spaces with no problems! A bemool, access to the room! Stairs...! We enjoyed a very spacious and very pleasant room! A very good restaurant, a nice table and well served!

Typical accommodation

We have come here for a month in the summer for many years and always feel very comfortable. The hotel is not fancy, but offers everything you need. We are greeted and treated in a genuinely cordial manner and made to feel at home. Our room ( number 9) in the main building is large and bright with a lovely sitting area, comfortable beds, refrigerator, TV, balcony, a very roomy wardrobe and big bathroom. Everything is spic and span and clean, daily excellent maid service with frequent linen changes . Breakfast is varied and plentiful and served in an attractive setting. The owner offers tips on the area, all sorts of brochures and information on this beautiful area of Lake Constance is available at the reception area. The central location is near public transportation and the lake. The price is right, too!

Home away from home

We stopped here after a long day riding a motorycle and found it by using our sat nav. It looks like it has recently changed its name from the Strand Hotel Kressbronn to the Hotel-Gasthof Krone with new owners.
We were shown a very large room with shower etc and balcony for 77 Euros. With an evening meal, drinks and breakfast the bill came to 146 euro's for two. It has ample parking for cars and we were allowed to park our motorycle around the back out of site of the road.
The chef/owner appeared to be a bit grumpy but the waitress was very good and helped us out with the menu.
We only stayed one night however we would stay again as it has a great location.
