Very clean and excellent breakfast , large spacious rooms . Staff very friendly and helped with any request or information need . Would strongly recommend this hotel as its recently refurbished and smells so new ! 


Great small hotel in kulmbach

We came to Kulmbach very late, the reception is working not nonstop, but they was waiting for us :) The room was very quiet, VERY big, the bathroom was enormous big, the stuff was really friendly and the breakfest was delicious.

best location, friendly stuff

I stayed here various times since my companys main office was located close by. Since staying there the first time and everytime I came back I was almost welcomed like a family member returning from a long trip. I felt very safe and comfortable around the two ladies, a mother and daughter who run this family business. The rooms are varying in sizes, are always immaculately clean and comfortable. I always enjoyed my breakfasts with a view to the market place and castle "Plassenburg". I loved staying there and regret not to return, since I have stopped working for the company. I will clearly miss the hospitality of the Lady Lauterbachs in my future travels.

Cosy, beatiful view and friendly service.

We planned a revisit to the Kulbach beer festival, 25 years after visiting the first time.  So we booked the hotel months in advance.  But when we arrived, they were full.  We believe the mayor of the town had gazumped our rooms.  Fair enough, the hotel then arranged accommodation 12 km out of town - a bit of a downer as we were there for the beer fest, and were not planning on driving afterwards.  So, we had to stump for a taxi both ways.  

The alternate accommodation was not as good, but I feel the Hotel Weisses Ross should get some credit for organising something, after failing to honour our reservation.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to actually sleep here

We stayed here while biking the Main River. The hotel is located right on the main - very cute - square where on some days of the week you can wake up to a fruit market (surprisingly, its set up which started by 5 am was very quiet!). The hotel is next to the Rathaus and at the foot of the Plassenburg Fortress hill (worth a hike up for the view and for the fortress itself).

Try to get a room with a view of the square, but note that there are no black out curtains so the light may wake you up at night.

Fun location on the Markplatz

Hotel at city square of the small town Kulmbach. Weinach markt had just started when I arrived a cold November day. That made the parking is quite tricky, you have to park your car some streets away and move it early morning before normal working hour. My room was quit small about 8 sqm, small bathroom. My room was very cold and element not very helpful. Walls between rooms thin like paper, luck that I have my ear protection with me. The quilt on my was perfect; well stuffed with downs light and warm.
Breakfast ok with fresh bread, selection of cheese, ham, jam, vegetables, boiled eggs, fruit and beverages. No restaurant at hotel but several good looking options in neighborhood
