Saarland Hotel Lebach also has a smaller building in the area which is also a hotel, at least they call it so. The worst experience I have ever had in hotels. This place needs to be shut down if you ask me. 

The room was dirty, untidy and unsanitary. By coming to the hotel room it looked like it wasn't cleaned after the last guests. When I tried to point out that after a week I haven't even gotten  clean towels, the owner was very rude, agressive and unoprofessional, he even said that "that is not his problem". 

Crumbs, filth and dust mites were all over the carpets. The shower was very filthy and the toilet wasn't cleaned. The cleaning lady never came. Before taking a shower I had to clean the shower and shower curtain because it looked very dirty and stale. 

Around the hotel you can see that it is not clean and the area is not taken care of. Very bad experience. Would not recommend. 0/10

Business trip

First of all, the rooms with bathroom were fine, at least clean. However, we were confirmed in advance by email that a large and two smaller kitchens were ready for self-sufficiency. Upon arrival at the accommodation, the landlord informed that if water or anything else did not work, a call to the landlord was required. When the rooms were handed over, it was noted that the TV also did not work anymore (which was less bad for us, as we barely spent time in the hotel).

A weekend without a kitchen

The Hoffmann's recently bought this hotel and have been beautifying it since that time. This place was rough when they took it over, but no matter where you look, the hotel has either been improved or is improving. Every day you will watch George (or Gayorg) and Judith either make it comfortable for guests or work at the hotel. The hotel is geared towards craftsmen who are on business here. The rooms are cheap, but they are not cheaply equipped. The rooms are beautifully furnished. The beds are very comfortable. Some rooms have a kitchen table, some have a shared kitchen. The dining room is very fast, and there are no satellite TVs on a TV/Kombine.

Like a good wine, everything gets better with time

The Hoffmann's bought this place recently, and have been beautifying it ever since. This place was rough when they took over, but in any direction you look, the hotel is either improved, or is improving. Everyday, you will find George (pronounced GAYorg) and Judith either accomodating guests or working on the hotel. The hotel is geared towards blue collar professionals, here on business. The rooms are priced very inexpensively, but are certainly not furnished inexpensively.

The rooms are nicely furnished. The beds are very comfortable. Some rooms have a kitchenette, some share a common kitchen. The wi-fi is very fast, and every room has satellite TV service on a TV/DVD combo unit. A light breakfast is served Monday through Friday from 0700 to 0800. The area is quiet and charming. In every room there are some flaws to pick out, but as you watch the proprietors busily going about making their hotel better, it's easy to overlook the flaws.

There is no elevator, so the hotel is not handicap friendy. The owners are not on duty on the property at all hours. I checked in late my first evening, and when I pressed the intercom, George's voice on the other end said he'd be there in five minutes. Five minutes later, I was in my room.

This place does not yet have a hotel star rating. I've stayed in some 4 stars that definitely did not deserve the forth star. To me, the Hotel Saarland Lebach is in a class by itself, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for suprizingly inexpensive and surprizingly comfortable accomodations.
