As a recent reviewer that I happend to scroll over wrote, this hotel reminded me too of small hotels in the bavarian and austrian countryside. Clean and warm just with warm water. Not many amenities. (No iron). The breakfast (10€) simple continental , filter coffee. 
Good enough for a quick business stop. 

Just OK for a solo work trip

Actually reminded me the traditional hotels in Austrian ski villages. Which is very nice. 
Location is 5 min walk from the tain station. 
Room is nice and pretty comfort, had tv, good shower and toilet. Also there's a big place for luggage. 
Wifi was good in the room. 
Check in - had to call reception on the phone since the door to the hotel was closed. I had the international phone program so it wasn't an issue for me this time.

Bottom line, would stay again. 

Traditional simple hotel

I was dissappointed with this hotel. The room was small, the walls are thin, sometimes you hear your neighbors so clearly as if they are in your room. The mattress was very inconfortable and the pillow would deflate under your weight. The breakfast was very poor (every day the same few things + bad Coffee) and sometimes non existent due to the fact that not enough people stayed in the hotel. The internet connection was also bad. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Overall I do not recommend this place, the price is not justified. Some friends stayed here 3 years ago and this place used to be better. 

Not ok

This Hotel was the best we stayed in while travelling around Germany.
Yes it cost a little more.
But wow,well worth it.
Wi fi was really good.Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom had a walk in shower.
All toiletries and towels were off a good quality.
Air con in room. We needed as it was 30c + outside.
Staff were really friendly and spoke English.
Breakfast was excellent.
So much to choose from,a veritable banquet !!
All the usual cold meats and cheeses,rolls pastries,fresh pressed orange juice.Cereals,fresh fruit, Hot selection also.Tea and coffee.
There is a garage on site and off site 5 minutes walk away.
We were given free bus passes for travelling locally as well from the Hotel.
Went to the castles on the bus also. 15 minutes away.
On site restaurant was well priced,good selection of drinks.
Friendly staff as well.
We got two little gifts on checking out as well,a really nice touch.
We stayed 5 nights,didn't hear any church bells.
Rooms were quiet and comfortable.

Lovely clean Hotel.Good location.

The hotel is located in a charming little village about 5 min from the airport.  The hosts are very friendly and accomodating. My girlfriend and I travel with our two small dogs.  They had no issue booking us.  We also were arriving much later than scheduled.  With one quick call, they set it up so we could easily get our keys and access the room after they had left.  The room is very clean and comfortable.  The S Bahn is a 10 min walk and local buses are very close.  Round trip ticket by train to the center of the city is 7€.
Now for some of the down side.  There is a church very close by and the bells ring all day and all night, so much for German noise laws.  The plus side to this is, no need to set an alarm clock the church makes sure you are up at 0600 everyday.  Even on the weekends.  Parking can be challenging.  They offer very little free space to park and if you do not get there in time you will have to pay 2€ for the night.  Not a big deal and rather cheap compared to other public parking. The problem becomes when everyone fills the lot blocking others in.  The management does a good job of getting the cars moved, but it can take some time.  Breakfast is 10€ per person,I find this a bit high for a small layout of mostly cereals and bread.  There are soft boiled eggs as well, but think of the breakfast as more of a morning snack to get your day started.
Overall I would recommend the hotel if you are on business during the week.  If you plan on staying the weekend, just be prepared for the early start.
