After a holiday at the sea, only fish from the grill, and meat of unknown origin, this was a dream for me today.

Lunch with a view of the mountains

Great Location and food

It is worth visiting this restaurant in an exposed location over and over again, from the friendly welcome from the chef to the delicious menus of the chef - here everyone can enjoy a cozy atmosphere with a magnificent view of the Hegau and the outskirts and beautify their daily life.

A culinary experience in the midst of magnificent nature

We stayed two nights in this lovely hotel two steps from the border with Switzerland. The room was located in the restaurant's dependency (it's the only negative aspect, for breakfast you had to go out and reach the dining room of the restaurant). The view from the balcony was very nice and relaxing, outside the hotel has a private parking lot and a small green area with children's games. The standard room is equipped with table and chairs, minibar, balcony. Everything very clean.

Quiet and typical

Interim stop on the Black Forest underwater bike tour. A really great view from both the guest terrace and the balcony. Spacious room, shower has plenty of hot water, electricity. Jealousy for long-sleepers, heating to dry backcountry very warm, staff very nice and friendly. We ate dinner there, also sensational. Little disadvantage: The balcony has no separation from the next room, we don't think that's so nice.

A really great view from there.

I first stayed there in 1985 when visiting relatives and came back to find the Waldfreiden significantly upgraded. The inn is still owned by the Sibold family but the following improvements have been added: the dining area is doubled in size, a beautiful South-facing sundeck overlooking forests going towards Switzerland has been added, along with a Sauna and exercise room on the lower levels. We stayed in a double room (#9) on the lower level that had a walk-out door to a sun terrace. The rooms were significantly more comfortable than I recall back in 1985 including better beds, tables and chairs, functioning TVs. The only thing needing improvement was the free WiFi which really didn't work.

Quiet Country Inn Nestled in the Black Forrest

After staying in Lucerne, we moved to Germany. We stayed in this gasthof for two nights. The structure is new and cozy, submerged in green. The spacious rooms with a beautiful view of the valley. The negative aspect, a catodic tube anti-flood TV set up on top of a closet and therefore with difficulty of vision. We both had dinner at the hotel. Very good level and cordial and punctual service. I expected much more from breakfast which turned out to be ordinary and not very abundant. However, a pleasant stopover.

Cozy and calm

We were a group of ten people for one night in this house. Booking worked great. Rooms were quite different sizes, but all very clean and pleasant. The dinner together was very tasty and the breakfast buffet the next morning was also packed with everything you can expect in such a house. The price-performance ratio I would call GUT.

Clean House With Good Cuisine

I've stayed here four or five times in the last two years, and I look forward to it every time.

I'd love to do it again.

If you want to eat well, you don't have to stop by this restaurant. The kitchen is highly recommended and the prices can be seen. The card has something for every taste and the children get an ice cream at the end. The beautiful view round out every meal.
