Never before has the double room been so tightly occupied it would be mostly a single room with a single bed relative to the size of the area its own roof racks - upright walking is not possible, between bed and bathroom max 40 cm narrow corridor unacceptable No charm, breakfast - nothing special, gas chamber cool and uncomfortable beautiful environment, friendly staff

Nothing special/ uncomfortable and tight but nice environment

A very nice hotel in a nice location outside, with lots of nice ways to eat. The rooms are new and top furnished with a nice big bathroom and shower. The personal room was very helpful.

Great clean hotel, great service

We recently spent 2 nights with several friends at the hotel. The rooms were clean, the beds were good. Breakfast was fine. The first night the food was very tasty, e.g. Zander with turmeric and mustard potato stew and fish stew. For the second night we were highly recommended the Spreewald Buffet, which we then booked with the whole group. When we arrived at 6pm (unfortunately it wasn't outside, because it was pretty cool), the food was only once the performance of about 45 minutes of a Spreewald comedy.

For the price you could have expected a little more.

My family and I had booked two adjacent, spacious double rooms with breakfast at the Hubertus House. Very good breakfast and dinner at the fancy Quappenstubchen hotel restaurant. Good city bikes. Canoe rental and other good restaurants nearby.

Good hotel in great location for a short break in the Spreewald

The rooms are so small that you're glad you don't have any bigger luggage with you, and the rooftop rooms are so limited by the slopes that you can only get into the double bed from one side.

Minuscule

Starick is quite a big complex with several small houses directly on the canal. We had a nice deluxe room, the bed was hard (good!), nicely equipped. Well filled minibar (the price was the same as in the restaurant). On the window was a mosquito-net (very useful), on the terrasse we can chill with wine under tree...idyllic. Breakfast was rich and good, coffee was not good at all (but my friend liked it). Staff was friendly, and we also rented a bikes-cost 10E pro day (June 2020), with 3-speed it was enough for flatty Spreewald. The Gurken were tasty, the gurkenmuseum-we were waiting a bit more, there are 3 rooms with traditional daily products, some agricultural tools, and some alt recipes for pickles.

Nice vaccation

On the occasion of our wedding day, we took a trip to the Spreewald in the Starick hotel complex - where we had taken a short vacation years ago. Since then, a lot has been done. Since we arrived one day earlier than originally planned, we booked a simple free double room there. Very neat, clean and completely fair and affordable. The next day we moved into our luxury suite and it was a dream. Of course, this had its price - but we bought it for three nights on our wedding day. The Hirschwinkel as a hotel restaurant offers a wide range of delicious dishes. We had a nice time and the house was safe again.

Comfortable rooms from spare rooms to luxury suites

The cucumber museum can be easily left on the left. Nothing goes wrong, disorder in the remission, the only thing that survived was the sales stand.

Flop from Lübbenau

In the Starick hotel complex there is the so-called cucumber museum. The entrance fee of 5€ for 2 adults and one child can be saved and you should go straight to the open air museum. It is only a few hundred meters away and offers more fun for children. The cucumber jars on display offer little interest besides the recipes for the different cucumbers. In some rooms there are many stuffed animals and things from days. But unfortunately without any labels or explanations. This is not really a museum but rather a small exhibition from old days. The lady was very nice at the entrance and tasting of cucumbers, which you can do afterwards, but very nice.

Turmeric Museum - You Can Save Yourself

I understand the staff situation in the off-season. But I expect a little more from a 4-star hotel at this price point. The hotel lobby is closed from 6:00 p.m. Then the guests can only move to a hotel room together and plunder the minibar. There must be the possibility of sitting together in the lobby. If no bar operation is possible, the possibility should be created to set up an automaton or a trust box. Unfortunately, the connected restaurant was not available in the first half of the week. Here, the owners should think urgently about the quality standard of their beautiful business. One option would be to make a hotel with only 2 stars and pensioners, but to paint themselves if it is possible.
